Carson is not ready to be POTUS. He is the most unqualified person on either side running for the Presidency. The more he talks the more he shows he doesn't have a clue. The left just gave us an unqualified candidate that is occupying the WH now. Now many of the same people on the right that have B****ed about Obama not being qualified is all in love with a candidate from the right that isn't qualified. Not a very bright move.

Rand Paul killing it at George Washington University. Paraphrasing:

France has exponentially more surveillance than us and they didn't prevent this attack. No terrorist has been caught through the collection of our phone calls.

That may or may not be true. IIRC it has been reported that attacks have been stopped due to that program.

Approve of the phone surveillance program or not I would think it has brought valuable information to those in charge of protecting us.

To say it is illegal is one thing, to say it brings no valuable information is another thing.

I agree in principle on some of what you said.

The major difference is the level of ego involved in the two Administrations. One we saw appointments by pure ego only. And tended to be incompetent yes men and women plodding along and/or shady-as-**** career politicians. None of which were even qualified to be a dog catcher.

The difference being is the advisers and Cabinet Carson might pick. And that would make the huge difference in a reasonably unqualified President surrounding himself with good talent giving him good advice.

I don't think anybody made that claim.

If they caught people because of phone surveillance we'd be hearing all about it so that they could justify the program.

What's funny is the Hillary supporter was a Mexican. The other Mexican (rand/cruz supporter told the Hillary supporting Mexican he would cut his throat (in Spanish) if he voted for Hillary. Lol

So we explained to my friend why Hillary was bad for the country. Some things he was unaware of. He likes Cruz now.

Idk what polls you guys are looking at. The Real Clear Politics national poll average has Rand Paul in 8th place at 3.2% RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - 2016 Republican Presidential Nomination

In Iowa Rand Paul is in 9th place at 2% and that was before Jindal dropped out.

In New Hampshire Paul is in 8th place at 4%

Didn't say he's crushing the polls. Simply said another good debate showing and he could be near the top. Let's face it... A 5% swing and he's there.

I also said more people will be listening after this past debate performance. That's even evident by the response from the majority of posters in here.

Plenty of time to climb to the top.

He has basically a month in a half. If he's not in the top 5 by February 1st he's done.
