Ummm seems politico stretched the truth themselves
Lie #1 from Politico: Carson in his book Gifted Hands never said he applied to or was accepted into West Point. Not once.
Lie #2 from Politico: Carson never said that he and William Westmoreland dined together (implying that it was a private dinner). This is what Carson wrote: I had dinner with him and the Congressional Medal winners. This was a public dinner, which has not been refuted by anyone.
