Ummm seems politico stretched the truth themselves

Lie #1 from Politico: Carson in his book Gifted Hands never said he applied to or was accepted into West Point. Not once.
Lie #2 from Politico: Carson never said that he and William Westmoreland dined together (implying that it was a private dinner). This is what Carson wrote: “I had dinner with him and the Congressional Medal winners.” This was a public dinner, which has not been refuted by anyone.

Would it be boring because you've already burned the couches and the mattresses? Also, thanks for recognizing my quick wit, sometimes I feel as if I'm not appreciated around here. :ermm:

Burn couches and mattresses? Hell no! Give em to Goodwill, taxes my prepubescent friend.

It's amazing how when anything is said in the politics forum everyone of you immediately try to turn the topic to Obama.

Is he running in 16?

Carson specifically stated he was offered a full ride from General westmoreland to Westpoint.

The obvious issue here is that Westpoint doesn't charge tuition.

The spin cycle has started.

"The next question is from Bill. He wanted to know if it was true that I was offered a slot at West Point after high school. Bill, that is true. I was the highest student ROTC member in Detroit and was thrilled to get an offer from West Point. "

Except he never got an offer from West Point.

His policies are. We've had to listen to it's Bush's fault the last 7 years so.....

Thrilled to get an offer-

How do you know the conversation he had with officials at West Point?

Because USMA officials have stated there is no record of an application or an offer? That's a solid indication that there was no application or an offer.

C'mon Ob, if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck.

Having a burger with NASA employee doesn't equate to an invitation to visit the ISS.

His book says General Westmoreland offered him a spot in West Point but he wanted to go into medicine instead.

Edit: Scholarship is automatic

the story has already been heavily edited since its 1st release hours ago. It's a total fail on the media

Ben Carson admits fabricating West Point scholarship
Carson's campaign on Friday conceded that a central point in his inspirational personal story did not occur as he previously described.
