One person is suspiciously quiet this election cycle.

Wonder where Ted Nugent is this year? I'd like to have him chime in so LG can whine about something new.

@Carl_C_Icahn: 1/2 I am starting a Super PAC with my initial commitment of $150 million to help end the crippling dysfunction in Congress

@Carl_C_Icahn: 2/2 I have therefore sent the following letter to the relevant committees and leaders of Congress: https://t.co/EGcuHvzou4

Trump has suggested Carl will be in his cabinet

I am I guess one of those who is still not sure who I will vote for. I just don't like the way trump talks about immigrants. I am a legal immigrant, and some of things that trump says is just plain offensive. Once people are US citizen then asking where are you from before answering a question is pretty lame. (trump did this to an Asian american student). I have had my share of racist slurs thrown at me, and I have taken them as few bad eggs in our great volunteer state.

He is going to represent The United States of America! I would not want the person in office to be asking my children who are proud US citizens, "Are you from Korea?"

If I meet any of you in bar, and you ask me the same question that is different, and I will be willing to share where I am from etc! I hope you guys understand my point.

Trump is for LEGAL immigration, you of all people should be supporting his stance. If you like uncontrolled immigration with no checks and balances then by all means vote for a dem.

I like controlled immigration, don't get me wrong. My spouse is have to wait more than 18 months for her to be allowed to enter this country legally. I want that to be fixed!
As, I said I just don't get a feeling that he likes immigrants! I may be completely wrong!

He wants a secure border and then bring in the best and the brightest from other countries. Pretty popular with blue collar workers. Smart people from other countries are entrepreneurial. They will create jobs, he wants to eleminate the leaches. Also he would negotiate with Chinese firms "come to America, we will give you a tax break, good workers, and you won't need nets around your office buildings."

The GOP should move to the center. They don't have to go left. I am registered R, but I find much of the party platform offensive. The D platform is far worse, but if the GOP wants to win the WH they have to become more moderate. It is not what many want to hear, but far right policies are not going to win the swing vote. Stick to your principles all you want, but we'll be crying in our beers watching the ***** getting sworn in in January

Like McCain and Romney? That worked out so well

What a joke. I'd bet there are more whites on welfare in the south than anywhere else.

Confused with this statement.. Had nothing to do with what I stated. I responded to the part that was said about where I live is very liberal which is true. But besides the south which usual is red after the elections the youth throughout the country is left leaning. Even in the south the majority of black voters will never vote for a Republican. What was the purpose of your interjection other than to start some s***?

Thank you for going about it the right way, may you and your family be blessed with success.

Because the context was you were griping about handouts, but I guess that wasn't your point.

BTW, if you are deleting "about 20 FB friends" because of their politics...hopefully they weren't people you actually know.

Not denying those quotes... Just saying none of those things will effect a 25-30 something when they hear him say... Free college, free Healthcare, legalized Marijuana... That's what they care about

Outside of the Bible belt that is the logic of a young person...not to mention the African American population in the Bible belt that will never vote for a R...it's simple math.. We're outnumbered and the key swing states have to be won.

No the context was that the youth votes left not right unless they grew up in a family that was Republican. And in a context of numbers (which is what gets you in the white house) unless the Republicans can move more center they have no chance of capturing enough votes. And I used as an example even in the deep south where the most Republican votes come from the population of African Americans won't ever vote red.

To the friends part. I went to school with a lot of Ignorant spoiled South Florida kids that aren't educated enough to have a political conversation. So instead they throw mud at the wall and try to make it a race or class debate. Kinda like yourself.

This argument isn't made though, as it implies that climate change is real. While I don't necessarily agree, I think this is much better argument than just completely denying it exists.

I think that explanation would register much better with people instead of coming off as anti-science or dishonest mouthpieces for the Koch brothers' interests.

I am a skeptic when it comes to "man made" global warming. I do not believe humans much or any effect on climate but the earth has gone through warming and cooling periods through history, that's fact. If we are going through a warming period there is nothing we can do to stop it. The resources need to be used in getting ready for and surviving, not preventing. But of course there isn't as much money to be made in that, is there?

I didn't do that at all. You brought up entitlements and race. Sounds like you're a baby who can't handle people that disagree with you.

You'll grow up a bit, you'll realize what a joke the R party is, and then you'll become a libertarian.

Dude the libertarian party is a joke. Do they even have a Potus candidate? Lol man weren't they supposed to take over when the Rs "collapsed"?

being a libertarian and being a member of the Libertarian Party aren't always the same thing. I tend to shy away from the Libertarian Party because of it's isolationist stance, but remain libertarian in many of my other views and opinions.

Yeah I am not a member of the libertarian party and the candidates are usually weird.

Small semantical correction. Libertarians are not isolationists. Quite the opposite. They are non-interventionists. Isolationist implies you keep completely to yourself in every way (diplomacy, trade, etc.) and libertarians are as non-isolationist as you can get in those areas. Trading with your enemy will keep you out of war.

You don't know me. I think I've Made a clear statement by saying the party has to change for the future and move more to the center. Are you dense? I removed people from my life that post ignorant stuff on my social media. For example someone I knew for 10 + years posted a shoot the cops post. And FYI I like rand Paul, have libertarian views and don't plan on blindly voting for a Trump or bush. Funny that you think because I'm "young" il grow up and learn more. Unlike the majority of my peers I went to school with that parents voted for Carter, and are taught that I'm "less informed" because I have conservative values and don't agree with what media and Hollywood think is "right". Sounds to me like you shouldn't judge so much and drop the old "listen son" attitude you think you have over me.
