2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Ok. I was told he must have used a TelePrompTer. Also told the GOP must have got in his ass to straighten up. I took it as he did well and they couldn't find any fault in anything he said.

At this point, he stumbled huge and needs to recover. Paul Ryan went out on a limb to support him and basically Trump got slammed over his recent line. And even got Ryan pissed.

He's got to get back into courting the GOP base. Tonight was a big step towards that.

Missed it but there was a lot of discussion last night that yes, Trump was going to deliver a speech which had been prepared for him and on a teleprompter. The question was, can he do that moving on? Can he stay on script for the next 5 months?

The million dollar question is, can Hillary stay out of prison for the next 5 months?

He really has to now. He probably should turn over all social media control to someone with a high dosage of mood stabilizers in their system until after the election.

Sadly, I don't think Trump has a chance. Not that I'm a Trump supporter, far from it. We're staring down the barrel of a Hillary presidency, and that's a very scary thought.

I'll give Trump a bit more credit than you. In an election year where the establishment has taken a beating, Hillary is like the poster child for what the "establishment" candidate is.

If Trump can keep his yap shut and bring the same message he did last night, he'll bring in the centrist and possibly even some Bernie supporters. You think Republicans dislike Hillary? I think those feeling the Bern hate her even worse.

He's got a shot. Especially in States where manufacturing has been hit hard.

I do hope you're right.

First, I think it's too late. Every time he gives prepared comments suggesting how inclusive he is, media will just play back his earlier comments to the contrary.

Second, his ego will not allow him to keep his mouth shut. As he trails in 4 to 6 point margin for a few months trying that tack, he'll blow a gasket and go back to what he thinks works. He can't help himself.

I think Trump wins, I am unsure if I can support/vote for him. Trump is a still an unknown, he is the closest thing we have had to a 3rd party candidate who can actually be elected.
If we elect Hillary, this proves this country is now a left leaning country and we won't see another R president for quite some time if ever again.
We can't have Hillary (the most corrupt politician in our lifetime) continue the most divisive president, maybe ever policies.

Rahm Emanuel said we can't let a crisis go to waste. And they didn't
Barry said he wanted to fundamentally transform us. And he has
