2016 Election Thread Part Deux

I love it when you make comments like this without providing any context.

A link from time to time wouldn't kill you.

I have to be missing something here. Trump said it looked like terrorism, as have many other officials, and it turns out they're almost assuredly correct.

This will help him if anything.

What EgyptAir says about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump - CNNPolitics.com

Trump was tweeting yesterday morning before 6:30 a.m. that it was probably terrorism, despite the complete lack of any official comment on that. And then he went off on Islam, as an entire religion.

He's feeding what ISIS wants, which is to make this East v. West, us v. them, Christian v. Muslim. I imagine they are trying to come up with some sort of terrible attack in October, just to try to help Trump win.

I missed the Tweets and portion of the article where he blamed Islam. All he said was "terrorism."

Can you provide a link?

No, no, no, no, no.

No.

It's not a question of being right, it's a question of having the temperament to be president. That requires not jumping to conclusions, which in the wrong circumstance could be calamitous. Trump's immature and naively simplistic view of the world is very worrisome.

I think its probably THE reason so many in the GOP hierarchy are genuinely worried about him in charge. In a fit of anger, and not bothering to wait for facts to develop, he seems capable of just jumping to conclusions and reacting in a very bludgeoning way. Not good.

I promise you the last thing they want is for Trump to win. Hillary will spoon feed them, Trump will destroy them.

Yeah, sorta like Susan Rice blaming Benghazi attacks on a video? Guess Obama told her to say that, he didn't have all the facts or they just couldn't get their stories (lies) straight.

From the CNN article I linked:

Trump was quick to take to social media -- before many details began to emerge about the loss of the plane carrying 66 people from Paris to Cairo. Clinton struck a more cautious approach, waiting until early afternoon to speak. Both went straight to politics. Trump declared terrorism was likely to blame and implied that a "sickness" within Islam and U.S. weakness were the underlying cause. Clinton delivered her most explicit warning yet that Trump's rhetoric and foreign policy positions make him unfit to serve in the White House.

From another source, Donald Trump speculates terrorist downed EgyptAir Flight 804: 'Great hate and sickness!' - Washington Times

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Thursday said the crash of EgyptAir Flight 804 into the Mediterranean Sea looked like “another terrorist attack.”
“Looks like yet another terrorist attack. Airplane departed from Paris. When will we get tough, smart and vigilant? Great hate and sickness!” Mr. Trump tweeted.

Just to be honest here, 8 years of appeasement and ignoring the problem hasn't exactly worked either.

I agree, a POTUS should never jump to conclusions. It absolutely makes them unqualified.

Well, LG can be even more hateful today...

NRA endorses Trump at convention | Fox News

The National Rifle Association threw its weight Friday behind Donald Trump, as the presumptive Republican presidential nominee addressed the group’s members and assured he would protect Second Amendment rights if elected.

Executive Director Chris Cox announced the endorsement as he introduced the billionaire businessman, who spoke at the NRA-ILA (Institute for Legislative Action) leadership forum in Louisville, Ky.

“I’m officially announcing the NRA’s endorsement of Donald Trump for president,” Cox said.

That should actually be surprising considering some of Trumps previous stances on gun control. But it's not, since the NRA has been a political whores group for years.

Especially his more recent statements involving terror watch lists and taking away gun rights
