2016 Election Thread Part Deux

Yeah, that's why the police are looking to charge her instead of looking for the person who allegedly groped her and the one doing the spraying.

To be fair all a woman/girl has to do to be excused from bad behavior is make some claim of sexual misconduct.

Most pro-lifers don't even agree with what he said with regards to punishing women, partly because it's completely untenable and also partly because they recognize it's a very complex issue.

Can you expound on this part? The hypothetical regarding abortions being illegal will never materialize, but I am curious as to why a woman seeking an abortion within the context of the hypothetical would be blameless and have no recourse sought.

I typically would agree with you on this if it happened after the incident and she was trying to drum up sympathy for said actions. But this was going on right at the moment and she was taking issue with the person that allegedly did it.

But what truly baffles me are the people that keep saying "she had it coming to her because she punched him." I missed her inner Mike Tyson coming out and putting the guy on his ass. I missed the part where they were doing little more than invoking their rights outside of that venue by holding signs. I missed the part where supposed grownups should have been restrained by ignoring it.

What I didn't miss was someone way overeager with a can of pepper spray and using it. Or the crowd laughing about it afterwards. Or the fat ass shoving them away. Or the highly edited video that supposedly shows her acknowledging her actions by cutting off quickly. Or the supposed grown ass adults that can't even handle an overweight teenage girl without resorting to using said spray. Or the posters that immediately jump to "she had it coming to her" just because she's holding an anti-Trump sign.

This whole situation is the sad reality of this entire election. Where people don't give two ****s about objectivity and would rather support something they knew to be wrong just because of the stance of the victims in the matter.

Trump still trolling the Republicans. Won't his supporters be surprised when it turns out they're actually voting for a secret Democrat.

Politics is too much of a team sport in this country.

I'll admit to not watching the video, heck I don't care enough to waste my time.

This whole cycle has been out of control with possibly the worst field of candidates in the history of this country. Couple that with groups on both sides who are completely off their rocker and we have a recipe for disaster. When I was in Cleveland last week the guys I met with were dreading the convention. They are convinced outside protesters will cause riots.

The inside protests might be worse.

She "had it coming to her" because of her mouth, her being up in someone's face, and the punch she threw, not the Donald/white supremacist sign.

The pro-life movement has always presented itself as one that believes in rehabilitation, not punishment. I'm not completely opposed to the practice of abortion myself, so I couldn't say if these are generally sincerely held beliefs or just the position taken to make it politically viable. From a legal standpoint, you're right - it would merit some sort of punishment, but moreso for the abortion provider than the woman. I'm not sure how such a proposed system would deal with back alley abortions, or how that would even be criminally proven.

What Trump said was the pro-life position taken to its logical extreme, but it's just not what most pro-lifers believe in my experience. They see the pregnant woman as a victim of an excruciatingly complex situation.

I obviously don't know the records of each person who has ever ran for president, but I would wager Trump may be the most ambiguous we've ever had. In fact, Trump is so ambiguous that his ambiguity seems to be his platform.

I agree Trump is an amateur politician and changes his views like his ties, but I have no idea what the other candidates are really think about any issue. I know what they say, which is simply what is written for them. Their campaign managers have one eye on polls about what we want to hear and the other eye on the speech/stump writers. They have daily meetings on how they will respond to any question on every major election issue while keeping their true feeling to themselves. I don't know which is worse? I feel like an infant, every time I cry someone slams a bottle of milk in my mouth hoping I will go back to sleep!

It's a mix of bemused at his buffoonery still getting him support in the GOP, terrified if he actually won, and bewilderment that this is the best the GOP could muster when they may have their last best chance, possibly ever.
They should like him in any of those 3 cases then. In the first and third scenarios, the Dems think he is unelectable so they should be grateful that he would be the Rep nominee, because a Dem would be elected. In the second scenario, they should be grateful since he is a closet democrat. I still don't understand why they don't like him.

Is this why there are laws on the books allowing a woman to be charged with a felony for behavior that leads to the death of her fetus?

Blue collar/labor Democrats do not represent the majority of Democrats today. Besides, the majority of blue collar Democrats insist on being called "Republicans" nowadays. They like the charade.

Regardless, Trump is the best example of a blue collar Democrat that we've had since at least the 70s or 80s.

So, adding to Trump's raucous "Foreign Policy Spring Break 2016," he has now said that he will not rule out a nuclear strike against ISIS in Europe.

Okay, can we all collectively "what the ****!" together, even you Trumpers? I mean, what the ****!

Of course we've all probably had one or two moments we'd like to ***** slap Europe, but nuking ISIS there?

There is a smart way to talk about "loose" nuclear weapons policy as a means of defense. I give you Putin's handling of Russian nuclear posturing during the Crimean heist. If this is what Trump thinks he's doing, however, he is dead wrong. He looks like a child who has just learned that things can go "BOOM!" It has the effect of making him look like a weird sort of wussbag, rather than a calculating strongman, and real strongmen (like Putin) will smell the fear.

Kasich just stated that he expects a brokered convention and that he welcomes such a prospect, provided Trump is still in the lead.

I don't care who you are, the Republican National Convention this summer will be must-see TV. It's going to be the wildest thing we've ever watched in American politics. I expect there to be fist fights on the floor of the convention between rival factions.

So silver spoon in his mouth Trump is a blue collar democrat???? Hmmm I don't think so.

Trump is a narcasistic ego maniac who loves seeing his name in the headlines. He knows this is going to be a Huuuuuge money grab for him. It's generating more publicity for the Trump brand and he will roll in more money in the long run. He doesn't care about this country he cares about Donald Trump

72 Did he ever produce that birth certificate. Can't believe Merica elected a non US Citizen who's Muslim
I have no idea where he was born, nor do I care. The only comments on the birth certificate that I have are two.

One: It has been proven to be a fake, but that doesn't mean that he wasn't born in Hawaii. If his mother was a U.S. citizen at the time, it is a moot point.
Two: I have a friend who was born in the same city, 5 weeks prior to Obama, and her birth certificate looks nothing like his. Her's is a black negative that looks very similar to my U.S. Birth Certificate, and his looks like an older Tenn. car title.

Really doubt that. Outside of the convention all hell will be breaking loose with the SJW rabble that will be stirring ****.

He's not a blue collar worker; he is a blue collar Democrat in the sense that he represents the part of the Democratic Party, now increasingly dated and small, that thinks it speaks for the dreams and desires of the common working man and woman. Nativism and protectionism are obligatory as such.
