2015 NBA Playoff Thread

Bogut wasn't playing much defense. Was fouling a lot too. Kerr sat him, put in a smaller lineup and got more stops. Bogut isn't giving them much more than any of the other bigs on offense either. I do wish we'd see a little change up with maybe Lee getting time. I didn't look at the stats, I wouldn't have guessed Bogut grabbed that many boards,

I like Bogut but he got abused yesterday on d.

Was just reading an article about Tyler Haws (BYU). He's 6' 5", athletic, scored 22 ppg, was conference DPOY and he can't get an invite to the combine. He's not even considered a snub. Not considered a top 100 prospect. Some say they ignore most seniors.

Not saying he would be a good pro, but if the NBA is too crowded to give this guy a fair shake, I wonder how many would have been all-time-greats never got a chance. Would Stockton get a fair shake today?

What are you talking about? That guy has average athleticism and Gary Bell JR of Gonzaga won DPOY in that conference.

If he's good he'll go to the D league and get called up. Little Stockton got a chance and he's about 1/3 as talented as his dad. But keep on with the conspiracy theories.

What conspiracy theory are you talking about? Stockton JR gets a shot because of who his dad is and also gonzaga is prestigious now, but wasn't back then.

My bad on dpoy...he was poy

Stockton JR didn't get drafted, he had to work his way into a chance. The NBA doesn't care about legacies, if it did the NBA would be littered with sons of players. GP JR won't get drafted, Mason JR won't get drafted, Kemp JR won't get drafted (idk if he exists but it seems likely)

Haws won't get drafted because he is a Meh rebounder, terrible passer and bad defender with average at best athleticism, not because he plays at BYU. While the NBA does draft on potential way to much, if you can play you'll get a shot. No way somebody wouldn't have drafted a great passer, defender and shooter like Stockton was.

The same one you always allude to come draft time, the NBA only goes after power conference players. Which is generally true, but if you can play they will find you. Haws just isn't good enough. I'm actually surprised you like him, you usually hate mid-range guys.

FWIW Stockton in NBDL 20ppg, 9.3apg, 4rpg, 2.5spg and hit 40% of his 3's. That's why he got a look.

@SherwoodStrauss

Interesting that Curry's teammates got him out of the hotel to relax last night. Rare thing that Curry goes out

I have literally never made this argument. I have said you are more likely to get noticed if you go to a big school, but that's just natural and requires no conspiracy.
