2015 NBA Finals Thread

Agree. IDC if they win in the future... But gimme a LeBron finals win where he goes like 40, 13, 11 for the finals.

Win or lose what he is doing is impressive. I'm not a rings guy, I'm a what you do in the finals guy. And he's been ridiculous even though Huff hates him now.

The owner where I work claims Steph is mentally broken, because after game 2 his daughter asked him "daddy why do you lose that game?" Dude is an idiot.

Lebron is doing a Russ W impression right now (and I don't mean that as a knock on either of them) and it's been enough to win.

I thought you worked for a family-owned organization of sorts?

Cleveland was so close to winning game 1. If this series were 3-0, it'd be a great candidate for the first 0-3 comeback. As good as things have gone for Cleveland, odds say the Warriors shots will start falling. I hope they don't.

Matthew Dellevadova thoroughly outplayed Steph Curry, who could've predicted that ever happening? Sure Steph got hot late but most of that came when Cleveland was clearly out of gas and then he hit a few shots that pretty much only he can make.

Cavs continue to dictate pace and style of play, it's baffling watching Kerr continually trot out Bogut, his only redeeming quality is setting screens, which he does illegally. Lee got a lot of run late and we will probably see more of that, which may spell trouble for Cleveland. Not sure they can keep up with GS if they're on the run.

I'd also run JR Smith to death on screens, he can't fight through and is constantly behind, causing unnecessary rotations.

For whatever reason, Dellevadova has Curry's number, I'd sit him anytime Curry is sitting, Shumpert can't maintain position on him and as we seen tonight, it only takes a few shots to get him going.

Cavs have had a ton of success trapping Curry off the pick and roll, in the 2nd half they switched and it cost them, hopefully they stick to the original gameplan.

Can't wait for game 4.

Not at all. They just can't keep letting Cleveland play the only style thier capable of playing with this roster.

Cavs are up but game 4 is as much a must win for them as it is for GS.

Yep - they have to win game 4. If they don't, GS goes up 3-2 imo. Imagine if Kyrie doesn't get hurt at the end of game 1. This series should be 3-0.

Delly was taken to hospital last night due to severe cramps. If the Warriors can't win Game 4 they are a joke.

Meh hard to say that honestly. Against Kyrie (who is a dreadful defender) Curry may have gotten off and their offense start clicking. Sure Kyrie would be scoring more but Dellavehobo is giving Steph fits and completely screwing up GSs offense. Which has been the key to these wins.

Irving did an awesome job in game 1 on D, IMO. Delly has been good on D, but Curry is just straight up missing shots he normally makes.

Delly is making him work extra hard, cause that's all he really needs to worry about. Curry went around Kyrie fairly easy several times, he was solid but not awesome on D. Yes Curry is missing some shots he makes, but kyrie couldn't put the pressure on him that Delly has. Basketball isn't as simple as saying "oh if this guy was playing such and such would happen" cause adding a guy and removing a guy changes other aspects of the game. Would they be up 3-0 with Kyrie? Maybe. But maybe Steph gets going and they are down 3-0.

I don't get how you say Kyrie was awesome on D but Delly has only been good. That's baffling to me.

Delly isn't athletic enough to contest shots the way Irving was. Irving embarrassed Curry twice with amazing blocks + 4 steals and 7 boards. It was a great effort.

We judge defense so differently, you are pure stats. I watch Delly hop in Curry's hip pocket and give him zero space all game, I'll take that vs him getting more open looks and being able to go off the dribble easier. Idc if Delly had zero blocks and zero steals, he was the better defender I'm not sure how that's even argued.

Actually, for once I was basing my analysis on what I see. I just threw in 4 steals and 7 boards to support my point. I don't see what you're talking about. IMO, Curry would destroy Delly if there wasn't so much help. He can get around Delly pretty easy, IMO. He stays on Curry's hip because the other guys slow him down.

Irving had a very good defensive effort in game one but he plays a style that still allows Curry to get his. Dellevadova is playing a frustrating style of defense. He's face guarding and constantly putting hands on Curry. Therein lies the difference, Irving used his athletic ability to make plays and simply stay in front of Curry, where Matthew is playing him with pure physicality and grit.
