2015 NBA Finals Thread

I'm pretty sure that anybody who cares enough about hoops to post regularly in an NBA forum watches the whole floor.

I think Curry is missing all of these shots because Delly (and Kyrie too to an extent) is roughing him up a little and getting in his head before the ball even reaches his hands.

He's definetly frustrated. Like I said earlier, it's infuriating to be face guarded. GS wasn't doing him any favors by having bigs like Bogut and Ezeli screen for him. They're such non-threats that the Cavs just trapped Curry and forced him to pass and GS other players have shot so poorly that they couldn't make Cleveland pay. Lee is much more of a threat and Cleveland honored that by switching, that's when Curry started having success.

Sure thing. You, like most people probably ball watch. Watch him guard Curry when he doesn't have the ball.

Also, help defense is a thing. It's a help defense league.

You and others need to stop pretending that he isn't absolutley doing an amazing job on Curry.

Did he do a great job the last 5 minutes of game 3?

Again, when ball screens are set and there is nobody within 10 to 15ft of Barnes or Green, that tells me all I need to know.

No need to guard guys who went 2-18 combined. I almost expected Barnes to fail, he's young and it's a big stage. I thought Green would be better than this. They couldn't make the Cavs pay for trapping Curry. Lee's presence changed that a bit.

Why do you assume I don't watch the whole floor? God, you guys are arrogant. It's like I'm talking to basketball royalty right now. Teach me how to watch the whole floor, please.

Because you just said you can't argue it. If you are watching the whole floor then you would have an opinion on it. Now kiss the ring.

I don't care about stats, missed shots, efficiency.. All I know is that over the last three games, Lebron has played the best basketball I've ever seen. And it's not close either. I really hope he can keep it up for 2-3 more games.

I rarely watch the ball, always been that way. I like to watch the action of the play and try and see what it is a team is trying to do.

It's easy to do because you can always switch back to the ball and see the shot. And it's not like there isn't going to be a replay.

Take Curry's most incredible shot last night. He has the ball on the right wing and starts to cross court, I stop watching him and see that two screens are being set and then a third, before he ever got past the first screen I knew Curry was about to get a good look. It ended up being more contested than I thought it would be.

Not many people watch the game that way, it's the only way I can.

I try to watch everything that's going on as much as possible, especially if a great shooter is being slowed down because I want to uunderstand why. I consider myself a semi student of the game and want to take in as much as possible.

I like watch what happens off the ball and try to predict what will happen, sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong.

Like the play I described earlier, I actually thought that Curry would cut to the basket after the second screen and just use the third as a decoy but he ran off of it too and hit an incredible three.

When James' is posting up I'm not watching him, I'm watching Mosgov time his cut or watching JR or Iman move to open space for a three. You can see if LeBron is going to advance further or shoot, that's when I switch back to watching him.

I do have an opinion on it. You waste so much time making points based on assumptions.

You said you couldn't argue it nor could you find video to refute our claim, so it was hearsay. But now you do have an opinion? Why not just say it to begin with if you watch him off the ball? Lol You are ridiculous, keep on spinning homie.

The point was that you guys can say that Delly is better than Irving because of off the ball D, and I can say he's not, and there is no way to settle the argument. That's why I can't argue. It's just hearsay.

How is this point lost on you? I didn't say I don't have an opinion. We've been arguing because I have an opinion.

It is too damn hot out to care who thinks which defender Curry's had more trouble with imo

Lol are you serious? Arguments rarely get settled on here, people usually just agree to disagree and move on. If you watch and have an opinion you can argue your side, that's how discussions work. You said I can't find video to refute it, not that you see it differently. So you can only argue if you have video proof. Its just more double talk BS from you.

We've been arguing because you got your feelings hurt because we said we watched it differently than you. Please tell me what is your opinion of Delly off the ball.

It is hot. But its also fun watching Huff spin in circles. We can argue all day about who is the better defender Russ or Harden, which is purely based on our opinions. But we can't argue Delly off the ball because its our opinion. No stats for off the ball so he's lost.

He's doing a good job off the ball. He would still be getting killed if it weren't for the help D. Yes Kyrie need help to, but he was doing a better job 1 on 1 than Delly is, IMO.

Since you don't like stats, and you don't like video, and opinions get us nowhere:

Matthew Dellavedova is getting too much credit for stopping Stephen Curry - SBNation.com

Cause that's what I said.

I'm sure I can find an article talking about how great he has been on Steph. I guess that means I don't like articles either.

You don't like anything that refutes your viewpoint. Show me an article. I'll enjoy it.
