And yeah, I obviously hate McGwire and Sosa as an Astros fan. Plus, I had to endure living 4 hours from Chicago and 5 hours from St. Louis and being that we have no pro teams in my state, those two are easily the most liked teams by people I knew.

Based on their aging patterns I would wager pretty heavily that both Biggo and Bagwell were juicing.

Baseball went 120 years with players getting old about the same age. Really good players were good till about 33/34, and then they tailed off. Only the immortals were still hanging around as shadows of themselves at 40. And then suddenly in the late 90s/early 2000s, it became common for stars to start posting prime seasons into their late 30s or even later. It's not a coincidence.

The only star player from that era that I'd be shocked to find out was roiding up was Greg Maddux.

Bonds was a HOFer pre steroids, and a better all around player he couldn't field for **** after he hulked out. I have to think the Mark/Sosa home run race, got him using. Which sucks cause he soured what would have been viewed as an all time great career.

Also, sometimes I pull against teams based over a single fan. I grew up with a kid who was a Giants and Jets fan, weird as fug teams to pick when you live in the midwest but his call I guess. He was a real jackass. There was nothing cool about him but he thought he was better than everyone. When I wore a Titans shirt the following day after they lost to the Rams, he actually made fun of me for it. Apparently it's embarrassing to be a fan of a team that loses... I don't know.

Seeing as he was always such a douche, I didn't want him to have the satisfaction. Though, they ended up winning championships down the road but I stopped talking to the mf'er by then. Last time I saw the dumbass was probably 7 years ago and he sold me what he told me would be a quarter for 60 bucks but it was half that and it was schwag. That's when I was like wow, f this guy. I gave him free lines at parties and even drove an hour to get him some kind but down the road he repays me by ripping me off?

These sound like odd and petty reasons but I don't know. It's just like man... people like him don't deserve the satisfaction of the Jets and Giants being good.

Because Barry was amazing for several seasons before his head grew, and everyone did it. Baseball turned a blind eye cause roads saved the sport, now they want to punish those guys. It's ridiculous.. Mark only hit home runs, was what a .270 hitter and I think he was using by season 2 or 3.

I know how good Bonds was previously.

I'm not saying his career and numbers aren't worthy.

But as long as we're keeping roiders out, I'm not like a fan anyways so I'm cool with him not being in.

That's obviously a bias pov. That's me as a fan, not on how I really think the system should work.

He was using in college for sure. Read somewhere that he even used in high school.

I know.

But I just need Bagwell and Biggio to get over the hump. My concern isn't about other players. Especially when we're talking former rivals on the Cubs and Cards. Ssshh... just let Astros fans try to cover up Bags roid use like Patriots fans try to cover up all of their cheating. I just want to be a winner. Bagwell and Biggio in the HOF but Sosa and McGwire not in the HOF = winning. If only Poopholes could be connected to roids. That guy just had to follow the Astros to the AL West the same year they finally got away from him in the NL Central.

Biggio made it, not sure what Bagwells numbers have been but I'm not sure he gets in.

The funniest steroid use of all time has to be Brady Anderson, dude hits in the teens for a few years, hits 50 one random year then back to the teens. Hit almost a quarter of his career HRs in one year.

Yeah, I was hoping Bagwell would get to go in with him. Bagwell was hanging around 60% i think it was?


He said he actually didn't care about himself getting in, he just wanted Biggio to get in. Maybe it's his way of admitting guil without saying it by accepting the possible repercussions. I guess I wouldn't blame the guy for not coming forward if he thinks he can get it in and he did use. It would seem odd not to care about getting in yourself though if you played by the rules. So, that's kind of interesting. At least I think that's what Bagwell said about Biggio making it into the hall. Maybe I was drunk and read something completely different at the time. lol
