Jeff Bagwell stunned, devastated Craig Biggio did not make Hall - FOX 26 News | MyFoxHouston

"It doesn't bother me," Bagwell said. "My numbers are there. Anybody can look at them.

"Only first baseman to do certain things."

In fact Bagwell is the only player in Major League history to have six consecutive seasons of at least 30 home runs, 100 runs batted in, 100 runs and 100 walks.

Bagwell is genuinely not upset about his situation.

"No, because I knew it was going to happen, so I'm fine," Bagwell said.

"To be honest I'm pissed off about Craig because I was really, really looking forward to him getting in the Hall of Fame.

When asked to focus on himself for a moment, Bagwell considered what it will mean to him when he's elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

"I would imagine I'll be pretty happy," Bagwell said. "It's the ultimate personal thing.

"That right there (Minute Maid Park), I feel like Craig and I did that."

Bagwell believes he and Biggio had a lot to do with the Astros' success in landing their ballpark.

"I think we meant a lot to this city," Bagwell said. "It would be tremendous to me to make it. It's kind of humbling. As long as he gets in, that's all I care about."

Bagwell's thoughts and focus once again turned to Biggio.

"He's the hardest worker I've ever seen in my entire life," Bagwell said. "I love him. He played as hard as it could be and I enjoyed it."

"I made him. He made me."

Beeg and Bags really do like each other, he had a ton more to say about Biggio, all good. I'm glad they got to spend their entire career with the Astros and Reggie with the Pacers. If only Reggie had a splash brother of his own to call "friend". Haha.. Nah, Pacers had the Smits so it's all good. Why have a 2nd Reggie when you can have one of a kind piece of a Smits?

Bonds was a HOFer pre steroids, and a better all around player he couldn't field for **** after he hulked out. I have to think the Mark/Sosa home run race, got him using. Which sucks cause he soured what would have been viewed as an all time great career.

Bonds was a genuine HOFer before juicing (a little overrated, IMO) and after juicing he was the best player ever.

Because Barry was amazing for several seasons before his head grew, and everyone did it. Baseball turned a blind eye cause roads saved the sport, now they want to punish those guys. It's ridiculous.. Mark only hit home runs, was what a .270 hitter and I think he was using by season 2 or 3.

FWIW, Barry only hit .275 in Pittsburgh. His average came up big time after juicing

I had originally commented how I thought it was dumb there were 2 daye off in between game 1 to game 2.

Just saw that there is only 1 day off in between game 2 and 3.... why?

Shouldn't it be 1 day off in between games being played in the same city back to back while when you change cities, you take 2 days off? They're doing it backwards. Horrible set up is horrible. Maybe there's a reason for it but I don't see why you'd do it that way.

Must be a TV thing, because the Stanley Cup Finals are pretty much following the same schedule.

Wtf happened in here. Cleveland evens the series and we're talking about ****ing baseball?

Saw this on Twitter and thought it was funny:

@Sid_Seixeiro: LeBron James defeated corrupt officials in front of a global audience. He's now ready to run for FIFA president.

I wish the last 2 minutes had been called that way in CLE's favor instead of against them. Would have been the all-time best TOP rant.

Yeah refs were extremely inconsistent down the stretch last night. Thought the moment got too big for a couple of those guys.

3 of his first 4 years his average was pretty bad, by year 5 he was pretty much a .300 hitter except one random year that he hit poorly. He only had a three year stretch where it went up big time. Mark was a .263 hitter.

The answer to all of your questions is money.

Yeah, McGwire was overrated. Still great. Not a big fan of Adam Dunn style baseball, though.

HRs are overrated. My Braves hit tons last year, and when they went on a HR slump in the playoffs they were done. They cleaned house and with a bunch of nobodies and they are playing decent ball (much better than expected). Markakis was the cleanup man when the Braves were here in Phoenix, and he had 0 HRs on the year, LOL.

Hey I'm a Giants fan, you don't have to tell me HRs are overrated, we haven't believed in hitting them in 7 years. Lol

Here ya go...

Sadly, some Lebron fans actually are accusing the refs of being corrupt now.

When I've been saying it for 10 years, I'm an idiot and should wear a tinfoil hat. When people believe Lebron is getting the shaft, the corruption is real and just started today. The NBA is out to destroy maybe the best player in the league for no reason at all other than they hope to gain less money off of him by making him less great apparently.

Because I know(in my mind anyways) the league has rigged games in the past, I don't care if the Cavs lose this series and the refs end up being responsible for it. They already rigged a bunch of Lakers series, Heat series, drafts etc... what's another rigged finals in the history books of a corrupt league? People who think Donaghy was acting alone are naive imo. And now you see that another league is in fact corrupt so it should come as no surprise to anyone if other leagues are as well.

My hope is that some day I can watch basketball(sports in general for that matter) and not have to wonder if it's rigged. I doubt it ends with the NBA, as both Steeler Super Bowls were won due to to multiple incorrect calls. Arizona Cardinals for example... not even acknowledging that some of the calls were blatantly wrong, AZ went from being the least penalized team during the regular season to most penalized team ever in a Super Bowl if I recall. What are the odds of that happening naturally without ref influence? I'm not saying refs rigging it is only way it could happen, I am saying though that I saw the botched calls(which I assume were intentional) with my own two eyes.

Even at the college level, I'm sure some of you remember both of the Oden games against the Vols. The officiating was horrible in both games and blatantly favored Oden and Ohio State. I also thought Jarvis Varnado and Miss St. were allowed to rape us as well back in the SEC tourney because the SEC decided Varnado was Dikembe Mutumbo. He probably could have kicked someone in the nuts in their game against us and it would have been considered clean D.

Anyways, now it's Lebron fans whining about how the league is rigged because they think the league should stroke Lebron's ego and or :pepper:. Go check out their whiny rants, especially twitter. You guys are free to keep up your love fest with me but if you think I'm bad, you should really check out RealGm, ESPN and Twitter. The things I say about Lebron pale in comparison. If you're really bored, just type in Lebron and follow it up with any derogatory word in the English language and you'll be met with endless matches. As bad as I apparently come off, I'd like to know what people make of this...

Can't say I disagree. I should sign up for an anti-Lebron forum, then I would have just as many people on my side mocking all of the ignorant Lebron fans that couldn't find their way out of a paper bag. I'm very outnumbered here but in terms of people who don't care for Lebron, they make up a large portion of people in their own right, just not here.

Ultimately, it's fine by me if the NBA decides to rig the series at the expense of Lebron and the Cavs. Nobody cared before so they shouldn't complain now. Comes off as pathetic because they took no issue when it benefited them and only started complaining once they felt the system was going against them. At least I never wavered on my opinion despite other people thinking it's impossible and or absurd. So impossible and absurd in fact that Donaghy got prison time for doing just that, but whatevs. It never happened, just started recently and only because it's Lebron.

Truth is, a lot of people here probably just don't see eye to eye with me because we're completely different and have our own agenda. I'm in no way southern, hold southern values or have a southern mindset. And while I think both parties suck, I would mostly definitely not pick the right side over the left side should a gun be put to my head and I were forced to choose. On the flip side, the majority here are probably (extreme) rightwing by choice and therefor my beliefs are foreign to them and unreasonable. I'm just some a-hole to them but I say, the feeling is mutual! :)

I really just wanted to bring up politics for no reason because a lot of people do and I've never done it. We want this to be a real rant. Bringing up politics for no reason is always a good addition and a strong indication you're listening to a rant.

So, while you all team up on me because you're all one and the same, I could easily go to a more liberal site where the roles would reverse and everyone here would be the butt of the jokes. In fact, that's a good idea because half the people here care more about bringing me up than they do the game. I keep hearing about these meltdowns but other than maybe a comment or two during the Hawks series, I don't even think I posted while the Cavs were playing for there to be a meltdown.

Reason for not posting while the Cavs played, I only watched the WC. I already knew what was going to happen in the EC and I felt my time would be better spent getting wasted to the point of passing out and waking up covered in piss. If you've never smelt fresh urine in the morning, you should try it. The ammonia is pungent. Will save you money on coffee in the long run.

But yeah, more or less my long posts are now what qualify as meltdowns and I feel like I see it mentioned 10 times a day. Gonna see what I can find in terms of forums that are anti-Bron and post there for the some of the series as well. I would have to believe with the same beliefs and agenda, I wouldn't be made a social pariah. I definitely won't be more disliked than I am here so that's promising. If you guys want to see future rants, you'll probably have to find me over there. Where is there? I don't know yet but I'm sure many forums that don't like Lebron exist.

If you think my meltdowns here were already bad, that's me holding back and at tops, I've probably only ever hit a 7 on my scale. With new found support on a forum with people that will be behind me, I'll be able to take it to a 10 on a nightly basis. I envision good times ahead with them peeps. Just look at this guy who appears to be a 60 year old fatty on the IHateLebron site...

If you feel compelled to convince me that LeBron James isn’t a ref-pampered, media-coddled baby that has become a shameful caricature of himself, give it a shot, you sissy-ass cheerleader. If you are a non-retard and would like to offer a few words of support, even better.

A quick note – apparently, nearly all ihatelebronjames.com readers are brainwashed automatons, considering the avalanche of hatemail I get on a daily basis. If you unoriginal bastards are going to go through the trouble of sending me hatemail, can you at least get a little creative? Don’t even bother if all you’ve got is “UR just jealous” or “you’re just a fat white guy who sucks at basketball” – I’ve heard that bull**** a thousand times.

Email away.

Thanks.

Someday I'll be that fat old guy. You'll see... you'll all see. Then the joke will be on me! And unless you have KFC gravy for me, I'll tell you to get out of my fat face. Once I reach that level, I'll be unstoppable. Anyone who has a problem with me, I'll make dinner of.

SIAP. This years NBA finals has broken abc's viewer rating record in games one and two. ABC started carrying the series in 2003.

Disclaimer: this is not a post saying LBJ is better than MJ, just an interesting fact.

Through 2 games, Lebron has had more rebounds/assists than Jordan had during the entire 1998 Finals. Puts into perspective how incredible he has been the first two games.

I'm a big Lebron fan, but he has not been incredible by any stretch, IMO. He has been pretty good but his shooting has been very poor.
