2015 NBA Finals Thread

No. Friday and Saturday nights are a ratings wasteland, as they are many people's only nights to get out of the house and do stuff. I know Thursday has always been regarded as the best night for TV ratings, so I guess the NBA just schedules the finals to ensure that if the Finals go 7 games, then they get center stage for three consecutiveThursday nights.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the clarification. :hi: Makes sense. I suppose by the same reasoning, this is why Fri night game tickets in Memphis go so high. If the Cloud-farts or the Floppers roll into town in Fri, forget about it..

If that's the case, wouldn't Friday/Sunday get better overall ratings than Thurs/Sun? Two full days off just seems a bit excessive. Also, I am glad the season is a long trek that allows us all to get familiar with all the teams and what not, but don't exhibition games for the upcoming season begin as early as next month? That's a mighty short off-season, if so..

Well, if the point is ratings, I think Friday night is the worst time for a game.

Look at when the best TV shows are. Sunday and during the week. That's when people watch TV.

note: looks like Bleed beat me to it.

Not if JR and Shump play as poorly as they did in game one, no chance. IF they can step up, im not counting them out yet.

That team, with them playing a bit off, tied GS in regulation. One of the few solid East teams showed up - and a good showing, if you take away overtime. That said, I still believe GS takes it.

If Cleveland was playing anyone else id give them a chance.

Golden State is too deep with Kyrie out.

Thompson 4/6
Barbosa 1/1
Barnes 0/2
Green 0/1
Bogut 0/1

Lebron 3/6

Thompson carrying the Warriors early with 9 points. Lebron carrying the Cavs obviously.

I hate watching him play, makes me feel like I'm having a seizure.

lol

I liked him on the Pacers. Dude is a scrappy scorer. He was really good back with the Suns. He's seemed to have found a niche with the Warriors after falling off. They have so many weapons and are such good passers that it allows him to get his because nobody really cares about him.

Tied game 20-20

:(

And Daladova. Do not like.

Edit: So that's totally not how you spell his name. Dellavedova.

1st quarter 20-20

Cavs 9/24fg(37.5%) 0/2three(0%)
Dubs 7/20fd(35.0%) 2/10three(20%)

Not very good offensively for either team. Though, people were all over each other defensively so it's partially good defense.

I was surprised to see Bogut make both of his free throws so I went to check out his stats. 52.4% on the season, so good for 1 of 2 on average. But last year, he only shot 34.4% from the free throw line?? Is that the worst free throw percentage ever? I never knew percentages that low existed.
