2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

Pacers getting completely demolished on the glass tonight, but were right there within a couple possessions until the Wizards went on this extended run to end the half.

And blazers wanting to make history is a dangerous team.
So i won't be shocked if the blazers get them to six, 7, or win.

Trailblazers did take the mavs to 7 while that was a whole other roster its not yhis is unfamilar to the blazers.
Each game blazers win is momentum and even more pressure on spurs not to have this go 7 along with not choke

Either duncan was surprised or didnt see Lillard's dunk until to late either way damn pathetic with a major pawn lillard looking like air lillard.
Pop pulled his starters he gave up oh well not like they would have made any difference because spurs were roadkill that got ran over by the tblazers.

Also to the dolphins- st louis cards fan that said they were going to get swept because of the firestorm curse damn wrong and again I'll repeat damn wrong tblazers arent getting swept because of thr spurs getting ran over as roadkill by the blazers.

I wonder which was the aberration - last night or the other three games? Spurs will finish these damn pretenders tomorrow.

I thought what happened the other night would be back-breaking for the Wizards. Apparently it had the opposite effect. It seems to have motivated the Wizards and made the Pacers complacent. Now they'll head back to D.C. to play in a raucous environment with all the momentum. Awesome.

Pacers have 3-4 guys disappearing on almost a nightly basis.

I can't imagine Indy is going 3-0 in the games in DC, so it's looking very possible they'll be facing a Game 7 having played horribly at home and fresh off of two straight losses. Needed to have that killer instinct tonight.

Obviously they've still got the luxury of losing once more without being eliminated, but the Wizards aren't in a horrible spot now that they're heading back home with all the momentum.

Kind of off topic, but I don't think momentum is a real phenomenon. I consider it an explanation of events. Tonight's outcome has no bearing on the next game in terms of momentum, IMO. The team who wins the series will appear to be the one who had more momentum, but really they were just the better team. I don't know if that makes sense.

Well the Pacers run to close out Game 4 sure as hell didn't carry over to tonight. I still like the Pacers chances though. I think they'll lose Game 6, simply because I can't see the Wizards going 0-3 at home in the series, but also think the Pacers playoff experience will win out in Game 7.

You don't think it's real during a stretch of a game where a team goes on say, a 17-5 run or something like that?

I'd agree it doesn't have much to do on a game to game basis but I wouldn't say there's absolutely zero carryover from the game before. If team A is dominating team B a few games in a row, it has to have an affect & take it's toll on each team mentally. Team A rides the momentum & continues to play well, while team B continues to play like ish & sucks it up. A lot of it is between the ears.

Damn, that's a season ender for Durant. Never thought I'd see another injury like Ware's. Makes me sick

Edit: guess Jerry really did leave the thread, had to make sure :)
