2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

I sympathize very much with Lebron and I am surprised more didn't. I figured a bad cramp is something more people have experienced. They are ridiculously painful and terrifying.

Some people seem to really dislike LeBron for whatever reason.

The memes flowed like wine after the game ended.

...such is life in the social media era.

And that's fine. If people post mocking memes of Lebron crying or something like that, I'd say that's fair game. I just think that celebrating his injury is low class and judging him as if he could have played through it is ignorant.

Dan LeBatard had a great explanation for why people still hate LeBron so much yesterday on HQ. He and Bomani are becoming my favorite sports-talk duo.

He said the hate he receives is due to the fact that his decision to leave Miami has been the correct decision because he's won like he said he would. We're a nation that loves to forgive people, but only when you come back to us with your tail tucked between your legs begging for sympathy. And LeBron, to his credit, hasn't done that and it rubs people the wrong way.

Pulling for the Spurs, but don't really hate the Heat and LeBron is a badass. That said, I felt for him. Nothing he could do there and people on him about not being tough or whatever have never cramped up like that. It's a miserable feeling and when the big muscles start cramping it really sucks.

In the days where coaches didn't give us water in order to make us "tougher", I looked like a mini bodybuilder as every muscle in my body cramped up and had to go to the hospital after collapsing at the end of football practice. Almost had to bail my dad out of jail too because he was pissed at the coach.

Leg muscles cramping up to that level is one of the worst things that can happen, but people seem to also be forgetting just how dehrdrated he had to be for that to happen. I mean, you could see the "lost" look in his eyes when he was sitting on the bench. He honestly looked like he was either going to pass out or have a heat stroke.

I've only had that happen to me once, after - of all things - working the sidelines on a chain crew for a high school football game on a humid night. I woke up in the middle of the night with both my calves feeling like they were being tazed. Easily the worst pain I've ever experienced.

The quad cramp is really tough. Especially when you have quads like LeBron.

One thing I wonder is if Lebron was planning on trying to come back in the game real quick. Within 30 seconds of him sitting they were down by 10, so the opportunity had been lost.

Didn't he leave with 7 minutes left? They couldn't make a 10 point comeback in 6 minutes?

He came out at 3:59 remaining with a 2 point deficit and they were down 10 by the 1:14 mark.

So if he could have re-entered after resting 2:30 or so, it didn't matter anyway.

I remember a couple buddies had full body cramps in football back in the good ole days.

Why do I keep hearing he came out at the 7 minute mark then?

And thats not 30 seconds. :)
