2014 Damn NBA Playoffs Thread

As far as I can tell the only two likable people working or rooting for the Pacers organization are Smalls and CJ Watson.

I think a big part of the reason both the fans and the team are coming off in such a negative way right now is that for three years they've been building to this moment, and now that it's finally here, they're on the verge of blowing their last shot before the team has undergo a fairly significant overhaul this summer, and that sucks for everyone who cares about the team. At their core, this is actually a very likable group of guys, but I can easily understand how outsiders aren't seeing it that way right now.

Yes. I was saying give up. There's one more, and then, God willing, another at SA. Better to try to slay that beast 0-0 than to try to make a hopeless comeback. I don't buy the Stephen A. Smith 'whoever wins game 5 wins the series' stuff, not completely, anyway. This series is too whacky. Hell, the whole playoffs have been whacky.

I will say, even if the Thunder do end up in the finals, I doubt they have much left. The west has just been too much.

There comes a time where you got to regroup.
I realize you don't want to give up but there comes a logical time to rest your starters as continue to use them in what isn't a elimination game isn't beneficial.
I could understand Using starters in the 4th if the margin was 15 or under, but 20 or higher is the time to take your starters out time.

So metaphorically speaking the west is like going through American gladiators, wipeout, and 1 hour a day on the treadmill.

They'll be a lot more likeable when Larry Legend gives Vogel a contract extension, lets Stephenson walk and moves Hibbert.

Paul George (John & Ringo) is very likeable and a team built around him would be more fun.

Trust me, Stephenson may annoy other teams and their fans, but it's kind of awesome when he's on your team. Hibbert has been a disaster some major chunks of this season, but away from the court, he's also appears to be a very laid back and likeable guy.

Stephenson says he's going to abide by Bird's request and leave the antics out for tonight's game. NOOOO! If tonight is the last game he ever plays as a Pacer, I was kind of hoping he'd go down in a blaze of glory.

I can easily see how it's awesome from your perspective. Lol. But I hate it.

And Hibbert is cool but I think he's "weak minded". Can't win a championship with players like that and Larry fully understand that concept.

In the long run they may be better without Hibbert, especially if what we've seen from him this year is who he's going to be going forward. However, if they lose Stephenson and trade Hibbert as you suggested, they'll be lucky to win 40 games next year, even in the putrid East.

Well he can still take his antics to jersey shore, or any other similar tv show even if the pacers get eliminated. :)

Eh, they'd get something of value for Hibbert.

They'll be alright if they can compliment George.
