Lebron is the basketball gods representative on earth.

All jokes aside, consider Lebron's upbringing (his Mom), the fact that he's been treated like basketball royalty since age 13, and that he's not college educated...he's more down to earth than most athletes seem to be. He's not a trouble-maker in the least bit. He's not failing drug tests. He's not fighting in games. He's well-spoken and intelligent. He's a good teammate.

The fact that he's so hated speaks more to society than it does to his character, IMO. No offense.

It was a pep rally. Get over it already and if Wade weren't aging in dog years it wouldn't be inconceivable for them to do something historic. In fact, they still might.

Jordan is beloved but he is an insufferable prick and degenerate gambler, LeBrons biggest fault to date is proclaiming greatness.

Even the pep rally upon his arrival in Miami wouldn't have been received nearly as poorly if hadn't been preceded by the circus that was "The Decision". Everyone knew he had no intention of returning to Cleveland, so there was no need to go stringing everyone along for the almost two months that passed between the Cavs elimination from the playoffs and him officially announcing he was signing with Miami.

The funny thing is Lebron was trying to do a good thing. He used the event to raise money for the Boys Club. I think he's probably still surprised to this day that the decision was bad PR.

I can get why Cleveland fans might be a little butt hurt about it, but WTF would anybody else care?

Starting to get depressed. It seems inevitable to me that San Antonio will win it all. They are 9-deep. Miami was 9-deep last year, but now they are only 6-deep (no MM, and Battier, Bosh, and Haslem all took a fairly stark decline this offseason).

I'm honestly to the point where I'm indifferent to the whole thing. But if he wanted to raise money, he could have simply wrote a check. The whole I was raising money thing, sounds like a stupid "don't hate me for this" excuse.
