I'm with you. This article was consistent with everything I've read and heard about his recruitment. I don't think it means we don't get him. To me, its a great sign that they went over to Knoxville on their own dime I have a fairly strong sense we will land this guy.

I think a lot of posters on here knew where this recruitment was. Not sure why we have to be so black and white about it either being family lies or fooled posters.

I don't remember where I heard or read it, but I've been under the impression since our coaching change that NC was in the drivers seat. The fact that he came back today is the only real reason I have to be hopeful that he ends up being a Vol.

I don't see how Bruin is being so negative. That article wasn't positive for us at all. North's dad stating that NC is in the drivers seat is completely opposite of how everyone here felt about this recruitment.

It's every recruit just about in every thread. It is fun to watch. He is good with Austin Sanders however.

Exactly. The only reason I am catching grief here is I am failing to live by the VN creed of refusing to read anything that sounds remotely negative for a recruit being a lock to sign with us.

In my limited experience, it comes across more as being a standard contrarian.

Can't blame you tho. Sometimes it's fun to rile the masses and stir the sheep.

It's also the easy stance to take these days. Higher probability of being right when you bet against the Vols.

Any article that comes out this time of year and is older than like 2 days should be taken with a grain of salt. Things can change really quickly as time runs out.

However, why be the Negative Nancy? This is a Vol fan's message board. Don't you think we would like to embrace hope no matter how "far fetched" it is? The last few years have been miserable for all of us. Yet, you, as a supposed Vol fan in a dark time, CONTINUE to be negative on any possible silver linings there may be for the future. I think you THINK you are doing us all the favor of crushing hope ahead of time. All that does is make us miserable 12 months of the year. That is why you are not the fan favorite. The funny(not really) thing is I read into a few things Kamara said and convinced myself we were getting him. Well you know how that one turned out.

For the record I think north is a vol and the dad is full of ....
