2013 Current Commits/Targets (UPDATED)

I mentioned this in another thread but I only see four good, undecided players on that list of visitors: Lawson, Bell, Carr, and Bellamy. I don't consider Gibson undecided. Of the four, we'd be lucky to get two. Looks like this class will finish ranked outside the top 30

You have no interest in Barber, Morris, Paul, Grace, and Vanderburg? Cause I sure do.

Math skills in MS are lacking, huh?

What service is that?

247, where quality matters. FYI, we're sitting at 38th right now.

Don't want to get sidetracked.. the point is that I don't like this class, as if that matters. It's not this staff's fault, obviously, but I don't expect many impact players to sign with UT.

Fair enough...what are we currently ranked on 247? What is their formula for team rankings?

Just edited to say we're 38th. Not sure about the formula but just to paint a picture; USC is sitting at #4 with only 14 commits and Utah is #44 with 26, 24 of which are 3*, the other 2 are unranked.

We currently have 2 commits that are 4*, JRM and Carr. I'm expecting Carr to sign with OM, Bell to sign with Bama, and Lawson to sign with with AU.. so I'm not expecting us to finish much higher in the ranking, with our without North and Parker. Bellamy is a 3* in their system.

Alot of people are excited about NSD with all this big names that supposedly have big intrest in us. But what if we get a big let down? Is VN going to turn on CBJ?

Absolutely not. Dooley and the former staff really screwed us. If we get top 15-20 this yr then it would be a great job done by the staff.

I wouldn't say I disliked this class, but it is less exciting at this point than any recent class I can remember. Agree that's not CBJ's fault.

But our view of this class could all change in the coming weeks. CBJ is doing an excellent job of getting talent on campus, it appears.

If you go by average star ranking then we are top 15-20. Which is where we should end up if we get the full 25.

I hope so. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong... just tired of being the laughing stock of the SEC. Finishing outside the top25 would only add fuel to the fire.

FYI, our average star rating on 247 is 31st in the country. Not calling jason a liar, I know he's a good poster.. but maybe he hasn't looked at it lately.

Does 247 really have Carr and Sanders as 3-stars?

Carr is a 4. Sanders is a 3. I think the reason Sanders is rated so low is because he ended his recruitment early and didn't go to many camps but you'd know more about that than myself. I don't think 247 has properly evaluated him so they defaulted to 3-star.

I guess I was looking at his composite ranking. 247 confuses me.

Yeah I just realized I was doing the same thing when looking at team rankings.. We are 38th in the composite ranking and 42nd in the 247 ranking. It's cool to see how 247's rankigns compare to that of the combined industry but it is confusing, especially when you aren't used to it.

What do you think are our chances with North?
