So when should the OOC games be announced? Don't they usually have the next season's schedule set by this time of year?

I like the open date better in October instead of late September.

Are you sure about this as Deerpark is usually spot on and says Miss St is 10/13...hope you are right!

I some how doubt we go to MTSU and I'm not sure if we'll play them two years in a row.

your doubt make sense. their stadium is rather small and both schools would probably lose a LOT of money if it was held there. UNLESS the game was played at the Titans stadium in Nashville.

This is what I got in an e-mail a few months back, but details were still being ironed out. DeerPark though is usually spot on, so he is probably correct. That would also switch the order of the 2013 games between Auburn and Mississippi State.

Crap, breaking up that October run would have been crucial.:ermm:

I want a rematch with Oregon. I want a USCwest game before LK is fired there. I want a ND game. I want a Michigan game. I want a Texas game. I want a VT game. I want a UNC game. I want a UCLA game. I even want a game with Rutgers and Princeton (just for the heck of it due to history): The first game of intercollegiate "football" between two colleges from the United States was an unfamiliar ancestor of today's college football, as it was played under 99-year-old soccer-style Association rules.[1] The game was played between teams from Rutgers University and Princeton University, which was called the College of New Jersey at the time. Thanks! Perfect timing for a beatdown on the plains!!

Hope your right. Hoping they are on probation by then. We havent beaten them in forever and they have usually been ass beatings outside of Fulmers last year. And that and Wyoming may have been 2 of the worst played games I have ever seen in my life.

I can't remember the last time we didn't have a week off in October. It is usually designed that way to coincide with fall break, although, it is possible the university could have fall break on an away football weekend.

This was the case in 2004.

Anyone have any predictions or info on who those two OOC games will be?

NC State as an opening game is just plain stupid. UF will be very good by then and we could start the season 2-2 and yet have a very good team. We NEVER play well in opening games against decent competition. Crap, we already have UF early on to contend with. If we can't schedule OOC BCS opponents in the latter part of the season then I'd rather not schedule any of them. Early SEC schedule already fricks with us enough.

Cal in 2006 went pretty well for us.

No its not. Look at LSU, Georgia, Alabama... They play tough people to start their season, and it can't hurt.
1.) Your players are focused. Its not a Division II cupcake.
2.) Us fans can tell if we're are forreal or not that year. No waiting. I like it.

Out of curiosity was the Oregon game ever in 2012? I swore to a friend I'd be flying out there next year for the Oregon game. Did it get changed or was it always 2013?

'98 Syracuse?
'06 Cali?

How many times have we actually scheduled decent competetion for an opener in the last 10 years or so? Outside of '07 Cali, the only other two games we've scheduled for openers that had decent competetion are the ones I just mentioned above, and we won both of those.

Also, nobody knows how good Florida is going to be. It's still way too early to tell about Muschamp.
