Montana has lost to Eastern Washington, Cal Poly, and Weber State so far this year. If we're worried about them, we probably just shouldn't show up to the SEC games.

6-6, maybe 7-5. I don't really think offense will as big a problem next year, but we have got to get better on defense next year.

Yeah, they are 6-3. They are reloading. In 2009 they went 14-1 only losing in the national championship game. The year before that they went 14-2 and lost in the in the national championship game. Like I said, they are good and used to winning. Those are the dangerous ones. We should win, but the risk/reward is not good.

You haven't seen Montana play. Small school but they play fired up.

I remember a little ol' team from Appy St. kicking the crap outta Big Blue a couple of yrs. ago at their house. Montana has played a couple of different times in Chattanooga and won the whole thing more than once during the last couple of years. Folks that really know football will not underestimate the Griz. It is a real program, and while it isn't from the south, they play a good brand of football. So congrts to you gurus that discount them. Think Ga. Southern in the 90s, Troy St., Mt. Union or N. Alabama - they will hang for 2 or 3 qts. If we look past them, we could lose.

UGA, LSU, 'Bama, and USCe back to back to back to back is a murderer's row similar to this year's October sked. Hopefully it won't be a skid again with a more mature team.

I don 't think you can call USCe or LSU a win even at home.

The OOC schedule is weak which it needs to be as the roster and depth are re-built. Personally I think that is worth an additional win in conference. It will help younger players gain confidence and aid in avoiding injuries.

I'd say the likely prediction at this point is 2 of the other 6. That would make the Vols 8-4 overall and 4-4 in the SEC. If they can come up with 3 out of the other 6 then I think they win or tie for the East (depending on who they beat).

In descending order of the likelihood of a win:

Bama
USCe
UF
LSU
Ark
UGA
Montana
UK
Cincy
Vandy
MTSU
Buffalo

Open should be a tough opponent, but I think we'll pull that one out.

6-6, 2-6...brutal Oct. Find a way to beat UGA or LSU at home, 7-5.

Depends on how good the coaches really are. If they are no better than some have declared here then you are probably right. If they are just as good as the "realistic" middle ground posters think at this point then 7 or 8 wins is realistic. If the true orange kool-aid drinkers dreams come true then there are no unwinnable games on the schedule.

Mallett's going pro after this season. I'd chalk up Arkansas as a "w."

And some think Tyler Wilson is just as good, and it was pretty clear in the Auburn and OM games that he can play. They get every single skill player back except the TE DJ Williams (All 4 of their good WR- Hamilton, Childs, Adams, Wirght and the running back Davis who is the must underrated RB in the league). Saying it is a for sure W is crazy. I also think most of their defense is back.

Calling SC a sure W is crazy too. Lattimore and Jeffery will be back on offense, their defense is always good, and Spurrier really likes Conner Shaw.

Nothing will be a garuntee in league play except Vandy & Kentucky.

We could go 9-3/10-2, but I can also see 7-5 or 6-6 again.

Garcia has one more year of eligibility too.

I think we'll have a better shot at beating Florida than I do LSU.

I think we have a better shot at Florida than we do at Arky, or LSU & USCe @ home.

Only thing with Florida is that it will be Bray's first big road game. Those are usually never good, but I think he will be up for that.
