UTM- Win, Simms will start with Bray/Nance getting some nice PT. We will have over 500+ yards of total offense. 56-6 UT
Oregon-Win, If anyone can shut down Oregon its Coach Wilcox. I think this will be a very close game, but being @ Neyland I think we win. 24-14 UT
Florida-Win, Once again I think Coach Wilcox puts together a winning defensive scheme for the gators. New QB in Neyland, I like our chances, plus I will be in attendance28-17 UT
UAB-Win, I think UAB plays a tough first half, but we pull away in 2nd half. 35-14 UT
LSU-Loss, @ LSU, do not like our chances. I think they will hand us our first loss. 31-17 LSU
UGA-Win, "In between the hedges" this game is a toss-up in my mind, I believe we pull it out. 24-17 UT
Bama-Loss, This will be a close game, but once again Bama will prevail. 28-24 Bama
S.Carolina-Loss, S.Carolina is returning alot of firepower, I think its too much, but then again it is S.Carolina. Right now I see it as a loss. 27-17 S.Carolina
Memphis-Win, I think Memphis will play us better then they have before, but we prove to be too much. 35-14 UT
Ole Miss-Win, NO McCluster close game though. 28-21 UT
Vandy- Win, no need to explain........35-17 UT
Kentucky- Win, 26 in a row, need I say more........35-21 UT
9-3 with a trip to the Cotton Bowl.
For everyone predicting a better season than last, why? Your offense is completely gone and your defense lost, arguably, its better players. As a Gator fan, we lost our share of good players on offense and defense so for me to believe we can do better seems a little conceited or outright silly, I suppose.
7-6 again but this time y'all win your bowl game.

the vols have more holes to fill than a slice of swiss cheese. you must replace your QB,RB,TE, much of your offense line, much of your defense and your kickers.....on top of that you have an entire new coaching staff installing a completely new system.....and your saying 9-3? LMAO! most hilarious is everyone here is predicting a victory in Athens. Brace yourselves for the inevitable........mark my words after Dooley starts out 2-4 you'll need 2 out of 3 vs.Vandy,Ole Miss and UK just to finish 4-8.

Vs. UT-Martin = (W 62-0). Huge win for the Vols that builds the kind of false-hope that the WKU game did the year before.
Vs. Oregon = (L 20-31) Hard to say at this point. Lots of variables for Oregon especially concerning the status of their QB. But Oregon returns a lot of starters and UT doesn't. Close hard-fought loss to the Pac-10 once again.
Vs. Florida = (L 21-30) UF is a lot more talented, especially on the offensive and defensive lines. Tennessee makes this one close at home with UF turnovers, but UT's depleted defensive line just can't stop the run as UF goes for over 200 on the ground behind an offensive line with 4 seniors.
Vs. UAB = (W 41-10) UAB doesn't stand a chance. UT forces 5 TO's.
@ LSU = (L 23-33) Tennessee keeps this one close most of the game, but a 3rd year starter at QB for LSU, behind a pretty good offensive line, with a bunch of good skill players around him is just too much on the road for Tennessee. Less Miles almost blows the game, though. UT QB's throw 3 pics.
@ UGA = (W 24-20) I see this as a big redemption year for UGA. 10 starters return on offense, and the only thing holding them back from a SEC title run is a QB. They'll be starting a freshmen. UT will be able to pressure the kid enough that his mistakes allow UT to outlast UGA even though they rush for 200 yards.
Vs. Alabama = (W 30-28) Tennessee has the bye week, and will be Alabama's THIRD STRAIGHT SEC game where their opponent had a bye the week before. Alabama's defense will be tired, and UT kicks a 45 yard FG to win the game. No arm-pit blocks this year.
@ USC = (L 17-35) Coming off one of the biggest UT wins in recent memory, an emotionally drained and physically wiped out Vols team travels to South Carolina where they get whipped by a focused, and talented South Carolina team that is trying desperately to stay in the SEC east race.
@ Memphis = (W 38-31) Coming off two brutal, physical games, UT holds on to beat Memphis in a shoot out.
Vs. Ole Miss = (W 17-16) In a messy game, UT turns another Ole Miss INT into a late FG, and Houston Nutt's botched fake punt with 3 minutes left seals the deal as UT collects 6 OM turnovers while surrendering 4 of their own in an exciting, messy victory that features 8 QB sacks combined by both teams.
@ Vandy = (L 18-20) In typical Vandy fashion of recent years, the Vandy defense stands tall, and harasses the UT QB for most of the day. UT is losing most of the game, and has been unable to score in the RZ. Trailing 20-12 late in the 4th, UT scores on the only long run of the day by Bryce Brown, but the 2 pt conversion fails as Jones can't quite bring down the fade in the corner of the endzone.
Vs Kentucy = (W 33-28) Randall Cobb goes crazy, and Kentucky takes a late 28-27 lead over UT on Cobb's 3rd TD of the day. But in typical UT-UK fashion, the Vols drive the length of the field and the Tennessee QB throws a 25 yard TD with 7 seconds left to Luke Stocker in the middle of the end zone. UT misses the 2 pt conversion, but wins the game.
7-5, 4-4, and except for the upset loss to Vandy, a good season for a depleted team.
