2008 Titans

I think we have a real good shot at defeating the Steelers. Their offense has played average at best.

They certinaly struggled yesterday, but the Ravens have one of the toughest defenses in the NFL. At the start of the season the Titans did too, but they have been decimated by injuries. I see the Steelers offense having a huge day next Sunday.

Vickerson, KVB, and big Al will be ready to go once the playoffs start hopefully. Meanwhile, Ball and Jones and Ford can rotate in and gain some big time experience.

Vickerson started his suspension last weekend vs. Cleveland, I believe. Which means he would come back at the same time, in the playoffs.

I don't know. Essentially have a month to get ready.. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. The experience for these young guys might prove valuable come playoff time.

Haynesworth has a knee sprain and KVB has to have surgery. They aren't going to be 100%. Especially Haynesworth - no way. He'll be in and out every other play in that 1st game.

the Steeler offense has not been great all season. pass protection has been lack luster, out top two tail backs, one is out for the season, the other, Parker, has been in and out all season. Mewelde Moore (who?) has taken most of the snaps. We signed Naje Davenport, twice, this year. we lost our long snapper, have signed 3 punters, and lost our back up quarterback for the year. whew..........

it has not been pretty. it may be the ugliest 11-3 ever. but all this team does is find ways to win.

they'll have find yet another way Sunday. two very physical games in a row for the Steelers. the only good news for us is there's little pressure. 2 seed and division locked up. in the end, we're ina good place, win or lose.

You won't have to worry about pass protection this week... Dave Ball isn't so scary without Haynesworth and Tony Brown isn't so scary without KVB.

No excuse for the Steeler's losing this game unless the Titan's somehow have 3-4 INTs without getting QB pressure. The Steelers should run for 200 yards easy.

you haven't been watching the Steelers then have you. our defense has carried us all year. offense has made a play or two a game to keep us in or win a game. that's it.

our running game is nill. ben has been sacked about 123 times. if our d doesn't score against Dallas we lose.

that said, our d is that good. should be a good game.

Yeah but if you look at the games last year where Haynesworth was hurt - we gave up tons and tons of rushing yards... and that was WITH KVB... I'm horrified to see what it'll be like without either of them.

Our secondary has been high rish/high reward all year too... as it is... Favre, Gus Frerrote (spelling), Schaubb, etc, etc have all had good games against our secondary. We seems to give up a lot of yardage but force a lot of picks (mainly do to our D-line pressure which we won't have).

I don't mean to sound like posivol... but I believe the Titans have won their last game of the year.

I dont know..Neither offense (Pittsburgh or Titans) has really been great this year. Pittsburgh really struggled aginst Dallas. Dallas turned the ball over 5 times in that game and still almost won.
I wont say the Titans will win but I think it could be a good game. If we dont turn the ball over we have a chance to win.
Either way I say we should rest the starters after the steelers game. If we win we have home field advantage locked up. Lose and we still have the #2 spot. No reason to risk further injuries in the colts game in hopes that the steelers lose to the browns. Its unlikely that will happen.

With Haynesworth gimpy the only way I see the Titans winning this game is going under the mindset their toughness is being called out. Kerry's meticulous nature should actually scare em, he's just the type of QB that rips em.

Our depth on the D-line wasn't all that great last year when Haynesworth was out. This year it is better but still an area of concern with him gone.

Since he made the Pro Bowl, Haynesworth will now be an unrestricted free agent after the season.

Haynesworth will become free agent | www.tennessean.com | The Tennessean

That was all a given a few weeks ago when we knew he would make the pro bowl based just off how the season was going.

I hope really hope they can resign him, but we all know that if they can't some team with a bad D will throw a whole lot of money at him...probably more than any D player in the league makes
