i would not be so quick to credit the Cal game as a win for us.....we dominated them this year and they will be hungry for revenge.....i feel that that game might be more difficult than the south carolina game or even the georgia game

For now the 10,866th time, Cal is a fraud. If UT struggles in that one, you can put a whole bunch of Ls down.

Cal is losing a lot too. and if they are a toss up, then SC, Bama and Ark should be as well. me, i think we beat Cal. FL loses a lot, but they have a lot too...they should be the favorite for the East next season. you are correct about UGA. they will be better. Bama is the one that i can't put a finger on. don't want to overreact in year one with Saban, but he'll make that team better, how much bettter, i don't know. but it is down there, and he'll have them believing. S car eventually will start winning the close games. losing rice hurts, but sos has done a pretty good job recruiting. i think they'll be better and and they won't lose as many close games as they did this year. their defense should be strong.

still see 9-3/8-4 for us.

Being the first game and having to go to the West Coast could be tougher than you want to accept. I lean towards us winning but it will be a tougher game than this year for us.

wow. southern miss, NIU, UCF, MSU, Vandy. I don't want to hear any more about ND's soft schedule. Almost half of the teams you guys play are TERRIBLE.

Maybe. I think we could do markedly better. A lot of time between now and August/Sept.

Southern Miss would be the fourth toughest team on Notre Dame's schedule.

Cal, Southern Miss, Florida, NIU, UCF, Ga, MSU, Bama, SCar, Ark, Vandy, Ky


I fail to see how UT's schedule is any harder than ND's. Stanford, Navy, Air Force... way harder than the trio of Southern Miss, NIU, UCF. please.

If a finesse, overrated bunch like Cal is a struggle for us, we've got major problems against actual football teams. I don't care if the players have to walk to the west coast, it should be a two touchdown UT victory. In fact, if UT loses that one, there's no reason to wait for the end of the season. It's time to give Haystacks the Jack Crowe treatment and put an interim coach in place to finish the '07 schedule.

Cal's losses to the draft will offset the change in scenery. Cal won't win 9 games next season.

Arkansas loses most of their OL, but Mustain improves, McFadden and Jones are back, but they should be a small bit worse than last season.

The only teams on the schedule that actually improve from 2006 are Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky.

Were you born dense or did you suffer some sort of brain injury? Stanford won exactly the same number of D-I games last year as Vine Middle School. You obviously have overlooked the fact that Southern Miss has been appearing in bowl games with regularity for the last 20 years. In fact, I'll bet the Golden Eagles alone have more bowl appearances in the last 10 years than Stanford, Air Force, and Navy combined. I used to think Notre dame fans were delusional. Now I realize you're simply clueless.

Hate traveling that far can cause major distractions even in the NFL. Plus it being the first game. I think we will be better but it will be a tougher game.
