#2 Knicks vs. #3 Pacers

Unfortunately, I think NY bounces back and gets the W tonight. I won't predict a score, but I forsee at least one of the Hibbert/West/George group being on the bench with two fouls within the first 4 minutes. I could be wrong, and the NBA may be going to allow teams to play physical all through the playoffs, but personally I'd expect a little snapback after the brutality that was allowed in the post for large portions of Game 1.

Joey Crawford is officiating so we can rule out anything that remotely resembles physical. I foresee the Knicks going to the line and the Pacers fouling out.

Under an hour.

About to throw a steak on the grill. The Pacers can't let me down tonight... not while eating a steak. :)

This officiating has been fair... said no one ever lol

Pacers have the ball, Knicks call a timeout and the ball goes to the Knicks?

Pacers getting called for every little thing

Well at least they changed it to a jump ball

And not both teams have been called for traveling?

Get this crew out of here lol

I'm pretty sure I could watch an endless loop of footage of Joey Crawford "running" up and down the court and laugh for a solid half hour. He looks flat out ridiculous.

Glad I have more important things going in my life.

If all I had to rely on was sports, I'd probably kill myself after watching this officiating lol

It doesn't show up at the foul line like you'd normally see but half of the Pacers turnovers were created by the refs.

Rebounding was even but the Knicks have attempted 78 to the Pacers 58 field goal attempts. Makes sense... smh

You don't let the other team go on a 30-2 run and be shut out for the first 7 minutes if the 4th quarter solely because of the refs. The Pacers laid down like dogs at the end if this one. Oh we'll, just forget about it and try to right the ship in Indy on Saturday night. I do have my concerns that a beatdown if these proportions may be something you just can't recover from. Hopefully I'm wrong.

God, I completely forgot that Stoudemire was going to be coming back during this series. Hopefully he'll be rusty and largely ineffective because the addition of another quality big man for the Knicks could be a killer for Indiana.

So the Knicks won last night because of the refs.................................but it was completely acceptable for them to botch every single foul in game 1 when the Knicks would drive the lane only to get their heads taken off by Hibbert.............seems legit

Uh no. The Knicks won last night because Carmelo Anthony started hitting every shot he took at the exact same time that the Pacers decided to stop scoring altogether. You don't lose a game by 30 points because of the refs.

Thats just the vibe I was getting from the interwebz

That's not how I saw it. When Melo came out of the game in the 3rd the Knicks led by 4. Before he hit a shot in the 4th the Knicks had already expanded their lead to 11 and he had only shot 8/19 to that point. They were at 77 points with 9' remaining and the Pacers only finished with 79, so Melo finishing out 5/7 was just overkill. If Melo had gone 0/7 in the 4th the Knicks still would have won by 15 so he didn't deliver the winning edge like Kevin Harlan was pretending.

Leaning towards the Knicks in 6 after what I saw last night.

The Pacers/Hawks were night and day on the road but the loss last night is about as bad it gets.

Sports.... sometimes I wonder why I even bother lol. UT football, basketball and baseball all suck. The Titans and Astros suck. And now the Pacers suck? haha

I really feel uncomfortable picking a winner in this series. If you told me Melo and Smith would shoot a max of 30 shots each game, I'd pick the Knicks. If they are going to shoot close to 40 between them the Knicks have almost no chance when they have an off night. How many off nights will they have?

I wouldn't go that far. They're one of the youngest teams in the league, and if they can keep most of their pieces together should be one of the 3-4 best teams in the East for a few more years. That said, I don't think the Pacers win another game this season. You don't just shake off getting outscored 258-7 (or at least that's what it felt like) in the 4th quarter of a playoff game like its nothing. But, like huffhines said, the wildcard is always Smith and Melo's shooting, they always have the potential to shoot the Knicks right out of any game.

I'm unlike some of you Pacer fans, I think they at the very least, make it a 7 game series.

I hope you're right. That 4th quarter was REALLY, REALLY pathetic last night though. The TNT studio guys were really talking the Pacers up at halftime, in spite of being down by 5, with Shaq and Chuck picking them to win the series. I meant to watch the halftime show of the Grizz game to see if they were quick to backtrack off that position after tour-de-force of ineptitude the Pacers put on display for the final 15 minutes of the game.
