Doesn’t have to be blue bloods that offer...he’s watching his buddy get offers from Providence, Ole Miss, NC State, Louisville, Memphis etc. maybe he’s wanting similar recognition.

He might...risky proposition though. Wait until spring and see which blue bloods missed on their top guys? Sure he will end up somewhere, but I don’t see his path to the NBA being more likely at UCLA than Tennessee.

I agree but let's be honest. It's easy for a kid to think that a school like Tenn will be around in the end even if the blue bloods gets their first choices. Having KD at your games can easily make one feel bullet proof. So looking at it that way isn't a risk really

Having the relationship Lanier does with Mann’s family I’m sure it’s understood Tennessee can’t wait around forever if Mann opts to wait until spring. No Mann won’t be left out in the street, he will end up somewhere, but I’m guessing ultimately the family feels pretty comfortable about him playing for someone they’ve known for 10+ years. I’m not nearly as worried here like many seem to be, just like I wasn’t worried when it was rumored he was ready to commit to UF on his OV.

That relationship needs to end this thing. If it does this month it's golden. If not it will be easier to disappoint next major time and place in this process

Probably sound like an ostrich here but I ain’t buying this is anything more than a guy getting flirted with by a few crazy hot girls(in this case the blue bloods), and in the moment thinking seeing other people is the way to go. A few nights sleep alone and mom and pop in the ear and I think he still announces UT, might even still be 7/30. Jmo

If he's reconsidering his top 3, why are Kansas and Florida any more viable options than Tennessee? If he's reconsidering his top 3, then all three teams in his top 3 should be concerned, not just Tennessee.

Aside from that, nothing you mentioned tells me "we're done". That seems like a dramatic conclusion to come to at this point.

Oh I agree. They’ll definitely track his movement the next couple of weeks and crank up the recruitment on the ones they’ve stayed in contact with, if Mann hasn’t committed by the end of July. It would be 2020 before landing another pg in the ball park of Mann tho.

Kid kinda blew up at the Peach Jam with Kevin Durant in attendance and is probably wanting to add some attention and suspense to his decision, as well as get is name mentioned in larger circles. He's a high profile kid being a high profile kid. It sucks. but we are still right in the thick of it. The question remains how long does he plan to extend things and how long are we willing to wait around. Only Barnes and Co. know the answer.
