'19 FL PG Tre Mann

Kid kinda blew up at the Peach Jam with Kevin Durant in attendance and is probably wanting to add some attention and suspense to his decision, as well as get is name mentioned in larger circles. He's a high profile kid being a high profile kid. It sucks. but we are still right in the thick of it. The question remains how long does he plan to extend things and how long are we willing to wait around. Only Barnes and Co. know the answer.

I kind of agree. I think he’s enjoying the attention he got when KD showed up to his AAU game with Barnes and he knows his stock is up right now. We’d be crazy to assume that every other school isn’t also showing him a ton of love and prospects dragging out their decision because they enjoy being courted by several major programs is nothing new. Kids love attention.

The entire “re-opening his recruitment” narrative that he’s put out seems slightly exaggerated to me personally. All he did was push his decision back 30 days while he finishes the AAU season. I still think he ends up either here or in Gainesville. We’re 2 weeks away from his decision and he still hasn’t even taken an official visit to Kansas.

Still a 2 school race IMO.

Wait

Do we know he pushed it back to end of August?

Dude Beet, I have a very reliable source that has assured me that there is a 75% chance that we have a 40% chance of landing Mann.

TIFWIW.

Per Jerry Meyer:

"His stock is going up. 5-star talent in my opinion. Not a good sign for Tennessee but not a death knell. Mann and Walker might go to same school but I wouldn't frame it as a package deal. I would keep an eye on Memphis."

As much as dislike KD now, what a power move by Ricky B. Still can't believe he brought the whole squad and arguably, his best player he's ever coached, and just so happens to be a top 5 player in the league along with him to recruit. Damn he's a savage lol.

I’ve lost a bit of faith in Meyer’s intel recently, but Memphis is certainly a factor with Walker, and maybe that is where this all stems from with Mann. Hopefully, Mann makes his own decision and follows thru with the assumed intention to commit to Tennessee. If Walker follows, all the better. If not, we pursue other options at SF.

How do you think Tricky Rick arranged that? You think he was straight up with KD and was like “KD, bro, I need to call in a favor... can you come hangout at this game with me?” Or do you think he was like “Hey dude let’s hangout, wanna go watch some basketball?”

I guess it depends on whether or not they are bros in real life. Like I wonder who controls the radio when KD and Barnes are in the car together.

Arguably? Really? Who is arguing? Who else would be "arguably the best"?

To Stoked’s credit, LaMarcus Aldridge, TJ Ford, Avery Bradley and DJ Augustin were all great college players under Barnes at Texas as well.

Agreed. But none of them are in any conversation of being better then KD. Not close. Therefore, it is not arguably. It should say "KD, the best player Barnes has ever coached".
