'19 FL PG Tre Mann

Rob Lewis mentioned that Kansas is trying to slow play Mann as far as a visit goes until the fall, so obviously Tennessee will have a few weeks/months to try and get him to do something. Obviously as Vol fans we should be rooting for Kansas to land some high priority guys between now and then.

“”You’re their back up option. You’re our GUY””

Hope we don’t have to wait too long for him. Don’t wanna miss out on the other guys we are recruiting.

You continue to recruit those guys just like you have been...none of them are likely to visit until fall which would also be when Mann would visit Kansas. I wouldn’t let up on the recruitment of any of those guys right now, one of the perks of having multiple options atop the board.

Florida: “It’s home. I grew up in Gainesville. I got a good relationship with all of the coaches, coach [Mike] White and coach [Darri] Nichols and coach [Jordan] Mincy and I felt like they can help me get to where I want to go with their style of play, they’re a fast team and shoot threes and that’s what I feel like I fit in at.”

Kansas: “They’re a winning program, they got a good coach, they develop guards and they help get them to the League and that’s my number one goal.”

Tennessee: Me and coach [Rob] Lanier have a great relationship and I’m starting to build one with coach [Rick] Barnes. I think he’s a great coach. He’s a veteran. He knows how to develop players and they’re an up and rising team so they did pretty good this season and I’m sure they’ll keep getting better. It’s another great program opportunity to be good at a school like that.”

I don't remember who said it or what thread they said it in, but these quotes highlight exactly what that person posted: It's more about what he DOESN'T say about each school than what he DOES say.

He doesn't list development with Florida.
He doesn't list relationship with Kansas.
He doesn't list UT as a big time program/tradition.

Just matters what he thinks is most important and which of those negatives is the least.

Yep and the last sentence of Tennessee lists them as a great program.

Can’t read much into these. They are cookie cutter comments.

The thing I’ve taken from them is that Florida is still in it. That’s where my money is at if not Tennessee.

Yea his comments on florida seem to be the strongest

I think they have already moved on so maybe the comments aren't worth reading

I think they refused to wait on him and went to recruiting the next option because that’s how recruiting is done.

He also didn’t list Florida as a big time program either

I would be shocked if UT has moved on from Mann. And thanks to all who replied to my previous comment. Thought all of you added good points (I know, people don't throw out compliments much on boards, but I genuinely thought you all made good points).

I think the discussion is if Florida has moved on. Imo they have but I certainly could be wrong

I don’t think Florida has moved on meaning they wouldn’t take him if he wanted to go there, I just don’t think Florida feels like they have a very good chance at him and are acting as such.

I can buy that. I doubt they are putting a lot of effort into him right now
