'19 FL PG Tre Mann

A few weeks back

Him mentioning them isn't good

They are a timeline GameChanger I am afraid

As far as a timeline change, if in that interview he had said “oh man I can’t wait to get to Kansas and check it out, I definitely will be visiting there before I decide” I would agree.

As for Kansas and need at PG...

They have Charlie Moore who is a redshirt sophomore this upcoming season, true sophomore 4 star Marcus Garrett, true freshman 5 star Devon Dotson and for 2019 they already have 3 star Markese Jacobs commited.

Unless one or 2 of those are leave early guys it seems odd to take Mann

FWIW the Florida boards are saying they aren’t getting Tre Mann, claiming his cousin/handler has his hand out...this is the family member that Lanier is very close with fwiw.

Also, I'm not sure I buy that story anyway. This kid's final 3 would be a lot different and he'd probably be wide open in his recruitment if they were just seeking money.

Agreed, and Barnes was allegedly brought in after the Tyndall and Pearl scandals due to his squeaky clean image. Seems odd that he'd play by the rules thru three mediocre classes (in terms of rankings) only to begin to skirt them by paying players amidst the FBI investigation.

Probaly so. I just hate when I see "handler" tied to a recruit

There are a lot of factors in people throwing around the handler label. It's nothing wrong with kids having advisors helping them out. It's a loaded word for sure.

9 times out of 10 when there’s a parent or an “advisor” who is overly active in a kids recruitment it’s not a good thing.

Kids have influential people in their lives. Kids have people who advise them. That’s true. If people start to call someone a handler it’s usually cause they are overly active and involved in a recruitment. Many times looking to get their own back scratched.

I’m sure there’s some reason this is racist in your book.

I’ve not heard his cousin mentioned as a handler by anyone except Florida boards, I mentioned it because to me it sounds a lot like sour grapes when fans lose a recruit they want, only possible reason is money being handed over. Knowing how Barnes has steered clear of anything like that since taking over at Tennessee I’m gonna assume that is not the case and that it’s just Florida fans way of justifying him going elsewhere...much like Tennessee fans (and every fan base) do with football recruits.

Yeah, I wouldn't call cousin Mike a handler just yet.

Rob Lewis mentioned that Kansas is trying to slow play Mann as far as a visit goes until the fall, so obviously Tennessee will have a few weeks/months to try and get him to do something. Obviously as Vol fans we should be rooting for Kansas to land some high priority guys between now and then.
