'19 CA QB JT Daniels (Georgia commit)

Hope that it finally clicks, that's the only reason they keep trotting him out there. He has the tools physically but the cranial flash gets him much to often.

He’s really a mental head case for sure. It’s possible he gets off to a hot start and plays well at Oklahoma and all those mental issues turns into a confidence that overcomes the issues

I think so. See you seem to be under the impression that JG cannot improve. If you think that, why? Why can almost any other CF player improve except JG? Do you not hope he does? I do. I hope he improves tremendously and leads us to an SECE title. Is it likely? Who knows? Hopefully along with his improvements, the OL and WR getting better the offense will be nasty.

I'd be over the freakin moon if JG came out and lead us to 10 wins and threw for 4000 yards. The kid deserves a season like that after all he's been through.

That said, as a 5th year senior, there is very little reason to expect that. Yes, players improve, and he likely will, but usually those big jumps are between years 2 and 3. By year 5, he's a bit of a known commodity.

I do think he will be better than last year with a second year with Chaney, but his issue isn't physical talent -- he has that in spades. His issues are psychological. He doubts himself and doesnt throw with any confidence or anticipation. That's the part that I just do not think gets fixed and why I dont believe he accomplishes much this year.

That’s true. Hopefully, if he is the starting QB, he has improved.

I want nothing but the best for JG but I just don’t see stability over the course of the season Tennessee needs to get where we want to be.

I think Daniels has all the tools but is he over the mental hurdle of a gruesome knee injury? Can he handle the week in and out of the SEC?

Plenty of questions for both sides here
