'18 TN DL Greg Emerson (UT commit 7/3/17)

I think he's a Vol lock. Ohio state is the only place I could see other than UT and I think we'd have to blow it big time to lose him.

Alabama is in on him likewise as is tOSU as you said. Personally knowing the situation Bama is the bigger threat for him and Carvin

Personally knowing the family I can't see him going anywhere but UT. If he were to land elsewhere it would be somewhere out of the area. Bama is always a threat BC they put so many in the league but I think we're good here.

I agree met them here in Nashville and i can't say anything but good. And yes that is the Bama factor the NFL train that they continue to add to.

Hoke has got a pretty nice NFL train going for DL as well. Strip in a supporting role actually does too, although not as good as either Hoke or Bama.

I couldn't see any recruit choosing Ohio State over UT.
Better coach, more recent success, easier conference to get to the title. In state pride and loyalty get dissolved really quickly when a team hasn't been successful in a kid's lifetime and have lost to an in state "rival" like Vandy.

That statement might piss some off as much as it pisses me off to make it but it's true.

Curious but why? Put your fan side away and look at it. At the moment, what do we have going for us that puts us above OSU?

Championships? Recent success at the highest level? Coaching? Proven path to NFL for players?

The only way that I see him at Bama is if we struggle badly this year and the coaching situation gets dicey. His mom would love to see him play and Bama isn't that far off from Jackson.

OSU isn't really a great role model for kids if you think about it. How many busts or troublemakers has Meyer recruited over the years? Hernandez was a criminal and Tebow was an NFL bust.
