The latest: Emerson is one of the nation’s top defensive linemen and the attention he’s receiving from the nation’s top programs back up that distinction. He recently took several visits, with Tennessee, Georgia and Ole Miss among the programs that hosted him. However, he’s been seen most in Knoxville and seems to have already formed a bond with several Tennessee commits. The race will continue to intensify, but right now it looks like the in-state school is the one to beat.

If Emerson plays end it will be SDE. He is not going to be an edge rusher. He probably beefs up to over 300 with good feet and quickness.

I'm guessing you never trained a lot. He's 7 months out from the injury. He should be good by the time they start fall camp.

Wonder why kids get defensive about that? I guess DE is a more "glamorous" position but DT is a KEY position in big boy football and those guys get paid in the league.

He's actually pretty fairly level headed. I've read some of his predictions on games for instance and a lot of his other articles, and as much as he loves the Vols, he is far from what I would consider a homer.
