that'd be great to get in to John Curtis HS. Does Austin Thomas help us with this?

His 247 profile says he's visiting UF this weekend. I see he made a change of plans :)

Glad to see us going after legit big-bodied TE's... Butch always seemed to go after smaller guys

3 of 8 TEs were "small" bodies. 7 if you don't count Brooks. I get its popular to hate on butch now, but no need to make ish up.

Warren 6-6 211*

Brown 6-3 225*
Bumphus 6-4 240

Pope 6-4 240
Brooks* 6-5 255

Oliver 6-3 230

Helm 6-4 225*
Wolf 6-4 245

OV this weekend...

THE SKINNY: The New Orleans native holds offers from LSU, UF, Alabama and Ole Miss, among others. He was previously scheduled for a visit to Florida this weekend. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound prospect is not an early enrollee and plans to sign in February. Beal could be a defensive line target.

Previously scheduled to visit Florida? What happened? Coaching change casualty or is he reconsidering what he is going to do this weekend?

Not sure. Maybe he likes Pruitt and the UT offer made him seriously consider UT so he’s visiting. Maybe Rumph was his lead recruiter at UF and is now at UT.

Is Warren going to be a kid we keep? Several TE offers have gone out for ‘18.

Hubbs said last night in the chat that Warren, Ollie and Antonutti should be safe.

And I think Simonton said this kid might be looked at as a DL.

Was referring to guys that made it on the field regularly under Butch... Not "making ish up", just making an observation.

Sounds like CJP doesn’t want to do anything to hurt relationships in-state.

Wolf, Jakob (was probably small to start), Croom was converted. Alex Ellis (don't think he was small), little wolf, Branasiel (sp).

those are the TEs I can think of that have made it on the field regularly. most of those I wouldn't consider small bodied.

Every one of those kids who’ve played at UT were big bodies, but soft as hell, pass catching TEs who couldn’t/can’t block a DE to save his life. Bumphus being (potentially) the only exception. We’ll see about Warren and Brown. Clearly CJP wants big, physical TEs who can be of use in the running game....Lyle has no such interest.
