'18 GA QB Emory Jones (Ohio State commit)

Exactly you can run the i in pee wee football just fine. What we are suggesting is not a overhaul just an addition to the offense. I actually like what you said butchna about changing right before the snap you could catch teams at a disadvantage fairly easily. The main person it would benefit is hurd. You get him going downhill with power.

Thanks...just a little mystery makes a lot of difference. Why the changeup is so effective in baseball. I feel this formation is a result of Hurd and backs like him we hope to land in recruiting. But other backs would love it also.

That's difficult to replicate in the spread...that's an added relatively safe play with potential. So you think Wolf will be the H-Back in those formations? Guess it would be just as effective stalling his man at TE too. :dunno:

Id leave wolf at te and maybe have jackob johnson play the "fb" out of the I. Usually ud get a lb matched up with wolf and the play action would create a freeze at lb and safety creating the space on a vertical route.

We actually run a similar play from the spread but i think it would work even better from the I.

Jakob would at least match Ellis who looked decent in that role for the limited glimpse we got. Would be great for him to find a landing spot after his hard work.

You guys were talking about changing the offense to where it suits a less mobile QB. Which means taking away zone and option away from the QB. You then both agreed that you would like to see it happen this year because for some reason it would help Dobbs.

Yes....let's take away the best part of Dobbs' game....because that would help this offense sooooooo much. You also take away his threat then Hurd and Kamara won't be as effective.

Wrong. You missed the entire point.

It's not a "scheme"....it's a formation. One of the simplest ones, in fact. :

The blocking assignment rules are a lot different because the timing is different. I'm not saying they can't do it, but it does require reps because every read by every blocker is different . I imagine the assignments and reads in Div 1 are a lot different than what a peewee team has.

With the I you basically use a man to man blocking scheme. Yes you will have giys pick up lbs and such but any d1 line has to do that every play. The beauty of the I is its smash mouth helmet to helmet football. Tjhey have already had reps in bowl practice and easily can use it in the offense.

"Yeah, if he doesn't commit this weekend, I think Tennessee definitely still has a legitimate chance. Distance is a concern for Jones and his mother, so I'm guessing one of the things they'll be weighing this weekend is exactly how comfortable they feel there and whether they're comfortable with his mom making that drive all the time to see his games and everything." - Callahan

Come on Butch. Get to work. Call the TN highway construction crews to spread out on the interstate hwys between GA and Columbus. Slow em Down. Massive frustration.

Sometimes Ya gotta think outside the box on this recruiting stuff.

Just got to convince TDOT to make I-75 one lane all the way through the state.

He has to see a lot of Ohio before arriving at tOSU. Basically we have this in the bag. Without a doubt, one of the worst 10 states.

I hope we get him and not get a '17 QB.

Sheriron red shirted and he is dang good.

BLM protest shuts down 75 in Knoxville the day he's heading to Columbus. He has to stay in Knoxville. I know someone on this board can pull that off.

He'll come to think of it who needs BLM? What about 100k vol fans shut down 75 protesting him going to OSU. He would have to commit.
