Let's stay on the 2018 front to finish up this week's recruiting portion of the War Room. While a number of people have written off Tennessee for Emory Jones because of Ohio State's recent offer, we're going to go ahead and tell you to pump the breaks on that.
Jones is scheduled to be on campus once, and possibly twice, in June for a camp and then possibly Orange Carpet Day. So, it's clear to see that there continues to be some real interest from Jones.
Would somebody please explain to me how the lawsuit affects football in any way at all, other than attempting to tarnish our reputation? It's civil, not criminal, and has nothing to do with any organization with authority over football. Right?
It's outcome likely won't specifically affect the football team, but it looks bad for the school and program. If you're recruiting and promising a player's mom you'll take care of her son for 4 years, unfortunately this type of lawsuit could sit in the back of her mind. Players as well don't want to run the risk of being lumped in with "rapists." While there won't really be an issue for the team, it certainly casts a shadow. How big of a shadow is what's open for discussion.

Lol. We are at the low end of sexual assault claims as compared to universities across the nation. And last I checked only 2 guys are standing trial for rape. One of which will probably be acquitted. Hardly the rape culture that the lying media and the dullards that partake of the swill are attempting to portray.

John Gruden won't be able to make the camp this weekend from what we understand, but look for him to be back on campus later on in June (back to that in a moment).
Now, back to Gruden. While he won't be in Knoxville this weekend, look for him on campus around June 10-11. As for who we expect to show up on those days?
We are hearing California signal caller Jack Sears is expected on campus and if he makes the long trip across the country on that day you have to think that's at the very least a good sign.
Also, Emory Jones will be in Knoxville to work under Gruden. Jones also has plans to make it back up to Knoxville for Orange Carpet Day at this point.
"Emory Jones will be in Knoxville next weekend but first he will head to Ohio State for a few days and then Clemson for a few days.
Those three are the main contenders. Jones said he will take some time after the visits and then think about making a decision. He didn't say that he would do something for sure, but just mentioned it could happen. But, he could wait as well."

Jones has a few pivotal visits coming up to the other programs in his top group, making his first trip to Ohio State June 13-14, followed by a trip to Clemson, then going to see Tennessee again June 17-18.
"I think I am getting close to a decision," Jones said. "Probably by the end of June. I am going to take all of the visits I want to take, compare all of them, and see how it goes."-247
Elite Class of 2018 QB Emory Jones nearing decision, talks Tennessee Vols football
Sounds like it's us or OSU. If he commits to OSU it would be after just one visit. Not sure I see that happening.
