From UGA mods.
All indications are that Walker still plans to spend the upcoming weekend in Athens for his official visit, but thats the one piece of good news weve heard for Georgia in this race. Meanwhile, the Volunteers (Jeremy Pruitt and Kevin Sherrer in particular) have made a strong impression in this race. If hes now torn between Tennessee and Georgia, Walker may well stick with whats comfortable and familiar, which is Alabama. As of now, were not projecting Georgia to be the landing spot, but that could change based on this weekends trip. Last weeks projected coin-flip scenario for Georgia is downgraded.
It's actually pretty obvious that Kirby learned a lot from Saban in the decade he worked for him and is replicating a lot of Saban's "Process" at UGA.Not sure which TW will say but the Bama boards are so butthurt over Smart its Updyke scary. They cant stand hes outrecruited them this year and that he doesnt kiss the ring of Saban. They think Saban taught Kirby everything he knows and it has nothing to do with him being a coachs son. He has said he got his football knowledge from his dad. Im sure hes picked up some things from Saban on running a program and being a butthole to the media.
Don't know that they do. Maybe just used to vol mods being lame and most not being TN fans that seeing fans of the team be mods Comes off a particular way with that crew.
Finally, tomorrow is arguably Pruitt's biggest in-home visit since taking the UT job. He'll spend a long time with Quay Walker in South Georgia, and he'll be joined by Kevin Sherrer, Charles Kelly and Chris Rumph. Walker remains an Alabama commit, but no one we've talked to believes he's even a realistic target for the Tide anymore. They offered a new LB on Tuesday, too. Auburn had the most recent visit, but this has shaped up to be a UT-UGA battle. Georgia is scheduled to host Walker as its sole official visitor this weekend, but Tennessee has the momentum heading into the visit and Pruitt could build on that with a key in-home tomorrow.
