if things continue to trend in uga's direction for justin fields, i think fsu should take a look back at tampa bay tech three-star dual-threat qb michael penix.
Penix camped at fsu after his sophomore year. Fsu liked him but wasn't prepared to offer. Part of the reason for not offering is because he may have been ready to commit on the spot. He picked up a lot of offers his junior year and was committed to tennessee by the spring. Fsu didn't offer and penix and he never came back to camp last summer.

This dude looks legit. Wouldn't really surprise me if he's starting sometime next year. Looks so much like Dobbs in his highlights.

Going to be a good battle between him and Martinez to take over in the next couple of years. Both guys have game like Dobbs.

However, with even average QB coaching, imagine what Dormady (if he's here), JG, and WM could be. We might have a lot better options than we think without Butch controlling the offense.

When CJP was at MTSU, those two collided and were both concussed. Very impressive he would remember that. He told Penix that he was shocked that AL missed him in this process, and was glad that Saban didn't know about him because he would come calling. Said I don't want to "honor your scholarship", I WANT YOU to come to Tennessee. He is all Vol.

rather have Penix than martinez IMO. Tired of hurt guys coming into the program just to stay hurt their entire career.

Also, Penix is legit

The raw talent is there. Get him someone that can work out the kinks in his motion and we're golden.
