'18 DT TN D'Andre Litaker

Not saying we need to cut ties, but the staff definitely needs to re-evaluate.

No way you cut ties. Still a good prospect. Sign him, rehab him, let him give it a go. If it doesn't work out, put him on a med scholly or make him a student assistant after a year. Don't want to risk upsetting the current class that he's close with plus a bunch of Rutherford County high school coaches. Plus he's a good kid who's been through a lot. Deserves a break.

Murfreesboro DNJ: Riverdale (4-0) may have another hurdle to climb, as senior defensive lineman and University of Tennessee commit D’Andre Litaker was injured making a tackle on Spring Hill running back Dontae Smith. Litaker was carried off the field and carted away, but returned to the sidelines with his right knee heavily bandaged. It was the same knee that knocked Litaker out last season.

The injuries to Tennessee players and commitments is kind of phenomenal. Like UGA and knees a few years ago

Agree, but I'd reword the final sentence.

Yeah that'd send a good message... Renig on a committable offer to a top in state recruit after an injury a full year before hell even be able to suit up for you.

Butch doesn't do this. First time he does, these same guys will rip him...

I'm not for dropping this guy but if he was looking around I think they would be justified. That's a risk you run when you flirt with other programs. Not sure that's what he's doing with the Louisville stuff though.

Taking a recruiting trip with your best friend who's family took you in after your mother died isn't really looking around.

I feel bad for this kid.

I liked Lewis too, but not sure he should have played over Barnett, for sure, or Vereen (who had a nice final two seasons).

Not Barnett at all. I think Vereen was a great representative of UT and was an extremely hard worker and I admire that, but I thought he really struggled to set the edge vs the run, much like I think Kongbo has and will. Too stiff.

Vereen certainly was a much better pass rusher than run defender.
