You might be right. Seems like the staff is going after more Out of state WR prospects with a concentration on WR's from south FL, which is usually a wise decision. Just weird that we wouldn't want a top 300 player at WR, that is from instate. Oh well, at least we got Taylor.
Litakers freshman year of high school made the rest of his high school academic career rocky. He did not take the first year as seriously as he needed to at the time. Litaker takes summer classes to raise his core GPA to make sure there are no qualifying issues once he makes it to Knoxville.
Our incoming freshmen came in three weeks ago and he asked me if he could go talk to the freshmen team, Kriesky said. He wanted to talk to them about how important grades are and how important they are as freshmen. He doesnt want them to make the same mistakes he did as a freshman.

Elijah Chestnutt, 6, takes a brief nap on the back of Dre Litaker at their home, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, in Murfreesboro, Tenn. After the death of Litaker's mother, he moved in with Chestnutt's family.
"I knew UT would be the spot for me from the get-go," said Litaker, who transferred to Riverdale from Oakland during the spring of 2016. "I kept going every weekend and started to build good relationships with the coaches. That's the big thing to me, to not only enjoy the school but also enjoy the coaches and players. And, it's also an in-state school. I wanted to stay home and take care of my two sisters and the Chestnutt family."
