'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Yesterday, I almost posed the question
"What final ranking # does each poster feel a success/failure".
I just like when people call it up front.
I was sure of a top 10 this year.
But I also don't fret until it's over.
Come February, I may be severely disappointed but not until then.

I'm still almost positive of a top 10.

Lmao, for everyone who's saying Clemson is a special place, you're dead wrong. Sure they're a big time football program but they get an easy road to an National Championship year & year out. They play maybe one or two tough teams on their pathetic ACC schedule while the rest are scrubs. If Tennessee had Clemson's schedule, automatic +10 wins every year.

Maybe this will slow the hype train a bit. Not getting in state recruits shows butch has to win. Also, who can blame Tee at this point? The benter throw game is at Clemson.

Don't underestimate the possibility that someone [coaches] at Oak Ridge continue to pump anti UT venom into their kids. Seems to have been a long time factor IMO. CBJ needs to fix that if so. Sick of those kids leaving.

Bottom line is Jones and Debord have some work to do. If they start showing a commitment to throwing the ball aggressively and often then top tier qb's and receivers alike will be less leary of the program. It's clear the interest is there, now we just need to show them we can take them where they want to go.
February is a long way off. We still have the opportunity to turn some heads and swing commitments our way.
Let's see if jones and co are up to the challenge.

Leb and ed, calling it.
I was at the lower end of top 10, 7-10.
May have been way off but I will stick with it until the final result.

Clemson beat Notre Dame, UNC, FSU, and OU last year.

The SEC schedule monster isn't as big and bad as he's made out to be.

Tennessee would beat Notre Dame, UNC, and give OU and FSU a run for their money. But keep thinking that.

Losing 2 of the top 3 players in your state hurts bad. Chance of losing 3/3.

Class of 17 was supposed to be unreal for us because of all the instate talent.

I had concerns. I saw it coming a mile away. Most are cool with ignoring instate recruiting unless it's a top 100 guy. IMO, you just can't do it. You want to lock down the state, then do it. Stop being OK with losing instate guys to other SEC and power 5 schools. Sign the instate talent EVERY year.

This just shows once again that unfortunately there aren't any folks on here with true insider info.... Everything is pure speculation. Dabo killing Butch in his own backyard. Hopefully we rebound from this and still close strong. Still a long way until NSD.
