'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Tbh guys I was told that he was a Vol all along by people inside his camp. I have never been told otherwise. This is a big loss for us and was told he committed to the Vols on OCD so I am at a loss right now. Sorry guys I was let down by this. On to the next one I guess.

Still waiting for you to get one right... :eek:lol:

Let's not kid ourselves. Right now, Clemson is a better program than UT. I'm not saying we won't pass them by the end of the year, but right now, we can't claim to be a better program.

And we certainly don't use our WR as effectively. I seriously wonder how we are gonna get any big time WR now. We can't offer for sure immediate PT, no we can't offer future big numbers and production becuase our offense under Butch has no track record of that.

Tee was always going to come to us only if it came down to in-state pride, and liking the coaches better. If it came down to real decision on where his talents would best be used, Clemson was always going to be the choice.

We need Preston and Malone to have big years for us. If not, this is going to keep happening.

This looks pretty bad for Hubbs and Fort. Especially with Callahan essentially calling it for Clemson a couple days ago.

Shows how little people know about football every championship offense starts with a team that can pound the ball right at any team. The passing game exists solely to compliment a great run game.

It's all starts with pounding the rock, not throwing it.

I can't blame the recruit. I mean even places like VQ gives a recruits announcement away without straight up saying it. "UT is in a great spot here". Fans know what that means. Only way for a recruit to have his moment is to lie.

Yea, because that is the proper thing to do. You should lie so that you can "have your moment." I am not even talking about Tee, but there is something absolutely wrong with that advice. Our society is going down...fast. How about not making a final decision until you know where you are going?

Yes. What if the compliment is condescending though?

Oh well got to move on here. It wasn't like Butch and company didn't throw everything at this kid. Sometimes you win and some you lose.

I'm not saying it's right, just what recruiting has become. If you do interviews and give anything away, the services will spill the beans.

This is not good.

I am officially worried about how this recruiting class will shape up now.

Me too. CBJ better win or he's on the hotseat and we will have to go through another rebuild. If he can't recruit off the season we had last year he definitely won't be able to recruit off of finishing second in the east when everyone expects us to finish first.

Well article quotes Tee has saying the factor that swayed him was the WR coach at Clemson. Also said he made up his mind after his last visit there.

Yesterday, I almost posed the question
"What final ranking # does each poster feel a success/failure".
I just like when people call it up front.
I was sure of a top 10 this year.
But I also don't fret until it's over.
Come February, I may be severely disappointed but not until then.

I've been saying top 15 for a while. I haven't seen anything to have me rethinking that. I did think we would get Tee. Top 15 still possible IMO.

This has negative recruiting written all over it.

Pretty easy to negatively recruit us atm. Title IX lawsuit pending, WRs werent very productive last year, Coach Z puts them in unconventional stances, we rotate too many guys at WR, Tennessee doesn't throw the ball downfield enough, etc.

To those that say that pending lawsuit isn't impacting our recruiting, well, I think you're crazy. There is no question coaches are using that against us and probably have been for the past year.

That last bit about him, Amari, and Johnson recruiting at the Opening both disgust me and worry me.
