'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Yeah. Shawn & not Shaun. I thought he went to South Carolina for some reason. Are you sure he played here at UT & as a DB instead of a RB? Thanks! Edit: You're right. Just checked UT website & saw him listed as DB from 92-95.

Probably thinking of the RB who went to Bama. I've known his name for years, and it escapes me now.

Yep. I just remembered, Shaun Bohannon

No, the guy was right. It was Shawn Summers. I just thought he played at South Carolina for some reason. Can't believe I didn't think he played at UT as much as I've followed UT football since I was a child.

I think what it was is that Summers never played RB while at UT even though he was a dynamic RB at Oak Ridge. He played DB which makes no sense to me with his RB skills in high school.

Why are you guys still guessing names? I said the poster that told me Shawn Summers was right. I spelled his 1st name wrong & thought he played elsewhere but UT. No need to guess players names anymore guys. It's been solved!

We're not guessing the players name. We are explaining why Summers never played RB at Tennessee. Those reasons are James Stewart, Aaron Hayden, Charlie Garner, and Jay Graham.

Oh. Gotcha now. Make sense then as to why he didn't play RB at UT. He still was one heck of a RB while playing at Oak Ridge. I want to say he rushed for almost 2,000 yards his senior season in high school.

I played with Shawn. Well, I had a jersey and rode on the bus. There was a lot of talent on those Oak Ridge teams; Jerry Colquitt, Shawn, Mike Caldwell, a guy named Curtis Booker was as gifted an athlete as any of them.
But man, Shawn was special. He could break a defender's ankles while he was still five yards away.
He and Todd Helton at Central graduated the same year and played against each other in some of the best games seen in East Tennessee.

They also get Upper East Tennessee powerhouse Dobyns-Bennett High School every year as well. Oak Ridge has been a good football team since I can remember back when I was a child.

My brother-in-law went to DB & we drove down to Oak Ridge for years to watch them play DB. They were always good games. Oak Ridge won most of them at home but not always. Anybody remember Shaun Summers kid at RB back in the 90's?

Boy, was he fun to watch. I believe he went to South Carolina for college & played all 4 seasons there & put up some decent stats. I can't remember if he was drafted or not but seems like some sort of injury derailed his pro football career.

Played in a couple of those games back in the late 70's.. Oak Ridge was always a tough game..

How about that Oakland game Colquitts Senior year? I played for Oakland. Remember getting to the stadium and seeing a sign waiting for us by our locker room "12 and 0 with 2 to go. 10 and 2 almost through ". After we beat y'all we grabbed that sign and ran around that stadium chanting "12 and 1 ain't having no fun".
