At the very least, it's apparent that Tee is not going to announce any time soon which is by itself a little disappointing. I still think he signs with Tennessee but just like Warrior in the last class, he won't be helping much if at all with other targets. I think we have missed having that big name commit working the trail for us.

I agree that he's going to make everybody wait now. He might not even announce his decision until NSD 2017 this coming February. You say he's coming to us. I just don't like our chances now. I would say 60% Clemson-40% UT.

I hope he ends up playing for his home state team. Why go to Clemson now Tee? You know you're gonna be loved in Knoxville. Don't go somewhere that doesn't love you like we do here in Tennessee.

You're going to be a superstar wherever you go but you'd look the best in real ORANGE. Not the other color of orange. Orange & white all the way Tee! Please come back to us.

Begging a teenager to come to your schools is frowned upon by most around here.

"I hope Tee Higgins chooses UT" = no problem

I said nothing about Tee looking handsome in orange. I said he would look best in real ORANGE. Some of you'll need to loosen up a bit.

It's like some of you live on pins & needles & can't wait to bash posts by members on here. Seriously! Some of you are beyond ridiculous!

Yes, I begged Tee to come back to us his original choice. I don't care what anybody thinks about that. I know I'm not the only one that's stated it that way either. Good grief guys!

I'm just going to have to laugh it off & move on. No hard feeling towards anybody but I do find it shocking from some of you to take that post in such a big way. :eek:

He said it wasn’t easy for him to part ways with Tennessee earlier this year.

“It was pretty tough decommitting from my hometown school, but I wanted to reopen my recruitment, look at my options,” Higgins said. “I was going to be a man about it, so I called the head coach, Coach Jones. He was just saying, ‘I respect your decision. We’re going to recruit you hard, like you were committed.’

“A lot of people told me, once you decommit from a school, the coaches get all mad at you. I didn’t want to believe it, but I also did believe it, so when he was calm about it, I was like, ‘Oh. OK, good.’”

Higgins said Jones also happens to make him laugh the most among the coaches currently recruiting him.

“He’s always got me cracking up,” Higgins said of Jones. “He just likes to joke around a lot, and I just think it’s funny. It’s pretty cool, just to know that a head coach — like, a big school’s head coach like Tennessee — is just cool and laid-back.”

Tennessee and Clemson are widely believed to be among the favorites to land Higgins, and he admitted the coaching staffs at both schools have made big impressions on his mother.

His mother’s high opinion of the Vols is just one of the reasons he said it’s not out of the question that he could end up at Tennessee despite his February decommitment.

“It’s a possibility — like (Jonathan) Kongbo did, the juco guy,” Higgins said, referring to the four-star defensive end from Arizona Western College in Yuma, Ariz., who signed with the Vols in February after decommitting from them in January. “It’s a good possibility.”

Hubbs basically said this week that it's really only a race between Clemson and Tennessee. With everything that's been said about Dobbs wanting to prove his skeptics wrong, I think we'll see a leap in the passing game that will not only secure Higgins but will show future prospects that the passing game will thrive here.

With our future roster makeup, I believe we become more of a passing team after this season.
