'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

I think he goes to Tennessee. Yes it's only 3.5 hours from Knoxville to Clemson, but it will be easier for his family to attend every home game if he stays in Knoxville.

Louisville offered for basketball

Since Higgins wants to play both hoops and football I sure hope CRB has pointed out that immediate playing time in Thompson-Boling is a real possibility. Notice too that Clemson just added another highly rated receiver to their list of commitments for 2017. That makes two they've pledged already, information that Higgins understands the meaning of, no doubt.

Tee is all Vol.
Clowning Dabo.
Butch will close him, Amari and DeLo Gibbs.
Sec championship and top 5 class coming this year.

IMO you're right about TH and DeAG. I believe they'll both sign on in Ktown when the time comes. I wish I could agree with you about Amari Rogers. Both he and Hunter Johnson are very aggressive "antiVol" peer recruiters. Their influence was apparently significant in inducing Corrdarian Richardson to pledge to Clemson. But to be fair; it sounds like we had slacked off in our (coaches recruiting) contacts with Richardson. But still, I hope you're right about Rogers. It is tough to make up for the loss of instate four star talent.

I don't think the staff has Richardson rated as high as the services.

Its obvious we prefer Cam Akers and Ty Chandler this cycle at RB.

Noticed in tweet thread, he commented on Bowen the basketball commit, does he know him pretty well, because I took that as a joke towards him like he was messing with him?

I took it as the warm up line will be filled with high flying dunkers. Think it's a compliment.

I think he was saying that when Tennessee is warming up before a game, it will be a dunking highlight. We will 3-4 who will put on a show.

Volunteer Classic notes...

"A few others that impressed included Tee Higgins. Obviously, if you've ever heard me talk about the kid you know I think he's a five-star caliber talent... He did nothing but back that up today. His team struggled to get the ball to him down the field but on one play they threw a jump ball to him down the sidelines and he literally had to be at least 36 inches off the ground and I'd say closer to 40. I mean, the corner jumped, too, but the corner's head only came to Tee's waist. It was insane. He's awesome.

Still a battle there for Tennessee."

Hopefully if Preston Williams can show out this year like we all know he is capable of, then that will help show Higgins that big time WRs can be successful in Butch's offense.

Mirrors what I've heard.

My cousin coached against Tee in a game a year or two back. He said they were doing good against him, until the end. They just tossed it up in the endzone and he and the CB went up for it, and it was just all over.

Not saying that he doesn't try sometimes, because I've heard none of that, but it's kind of like he is a superhero, just waiting for when it's time to "do the work." lol

Critical for WR and QB recruiting, that we have 1 or 2 WR's who show out this year, rather than "some guys out there" who netted 300 yards on the year.

I still don't think Malone ever gets there, unless he realizes next year, it is payday or bust. My money is on P-Willy.

Malone is not a natural reciever. He's learning. I think Azzani is doing well with him, but the kid has a very average feel for the ball. Ive never once seen him snag the ball away from his body.

He's a body catcher, which is why he has so many drops.

And he NEVER dives for the ball.

Preston Williams, Josh Smith, and Latrell Williams will improve our throw game this year. Jennings will as well. Those 4 will be the guys who give some spark to our offense. And thats plenty..

Latrell is a very intriguing prospect. Those small slot guys with speed are a nightmare for defenses.

That is why losing Pig was huge this year. No way we drop OK and FL this year with him.

Maggitt and Howard were enormous losses that we didn't have an answer for.

Malones problem is mental. He has all the ability in the world to be elite but his mentality holds him back. He wants the ball to come to him perfect instead of going for the ball. If only he could pick up that Jennings competitive drive. That drive is what will end up pushing Preston and Jennings ahead of Malone
