Former Vol quarterback Jerry Colquitt today offered the following positively glowing praise for Tee Higgins:
Jerry described Higgins as "a 'generational' talent that is better than any player to ever come out of Oak Ridge. Not only that but Jerry said that Tee Higgins is a guy that will go down in the annals of UT in the same breath as a guy like Carl Pickens." The Tony Basilio Show

What a dumb statement to make about a 16 year old kid. "Will go down in the same breath as Carl Pickens". Give me a break. These comparisons need to stop. It isn't fair to the kid and is completely asinine to any Vol fan with the slightest bit of intelligence. To make any projections about Tee Higgins place in Volunteer history at this point in time is beyond ludicrous.

The majority of you would come down hard on a guy that compares a HS sophomore to Carl Pickens...don't let the fact that it is a former Vol mask the ridiculousness of the statement. By this logic, we ought to start comparing D. Barnett to NFL Hall of Fame pass rushers...I mean c'mon, he had a stellar freshman year in college.

I remember my dad telling me stories about when jerry played at oak ridge in the late 80s. Jerry is the QB that got hurt in the UCLkA game that let Peyton Manning take over. Anyways i still think that Shawn Summers is the best player to come out of Oak Ridge but Tee still has 2 years left. When all is said and done he may pass Shawn Summers as the best ive ever seen at Oak Ridge.
