You sure? According to some I thought it did
UT isn't always the best situation for everyone. With Dormady and Jones having multiple years in the system and Guarantano having one when the 2017 guy arrives, I can understand looking elsewhere. I get the "not afraid of competition" thing. Some situations just set you up better to play sooner. It matters to these guys and it should.
He would have fit our system just fine, or perhaps more accurately, our system would have been tweaked to fit him. He was a big loss. The only thing that makes me feel a little better about him flipping is Guarantano and how good I think he'll be here.

But yet if Butch had changed his mind about taking a 17 QB due to the depth chart, and pulled the scholly, you would be throwing a hissy.
I have to agree.
I went to Clemson's homecoming in 2014 and while the tailgating was top notch, the game atmosphere itself was absolutely boring. I don't think a single person around me was even watching the game.
To make matters worse, their famous "Esso bar" closed at midnight because it is a dry county on Sundays...the game ended at about 11:00.
The highlight of the night was when this random Gator fan/girl that was dead behind the eyes and covered in band-aids fell face first down the stairs in front of everyone...I wish I was kidding when I said that was the first time in a quarter anyone in that section stood up.
You went to their homecoming game. Do you think a Clemson fan would have been impressed with the atmosphere at last year's North Texas game?
The fact is that Clemson and Tennessee are both top 5-10 atmospheres in college football for a big game.
That is not one of the areas we can blow them away.
Conference, competition, tradition, probably resources and a few other things we have an edge on.
They are a valiant competitor and it will be fun competing with them.
Pulled the scholly after the kid committed to UT? Of course I'd have an issue with it. Pull the scholly of the #1 QB in the country, sounds like a brilliant idea. LOL
Don't take a commitment you're not going to honor. Its a simple concept.
While I'd rather see a kid stick to his commitment, he is a kid. Its something I suppose comes with age. Honor a commitment is something all young people should learn.[/QUOTE
I agree completely. I just think it's wrong for you to roast the staff for it when the kids and their parents are playing the game too.
