'17 TN ATH Maleik Gray (UT signee)

Sounds like something Mueller would say. :)

Scenario 1 - Volatil is Mueller and Mueller is Volatil

Scenario 2 - Mueller has hacked Volatil's account and Volatil will go all VolLady and request Freak deactivate his account.

Scenario 3 - Volatil is riding his son's coat tails. :)

Lol I won't say anything else. Don't want to be accused of living vicariously through my child.

My info is realistic and positive IMO. To guarantee anything with Stevens or Gray is crazy at this point. On the field results will play a huge factor in both.

I know you know this. As an outsider, I think this is true with all top players we are after for the most part. So far, everything that CBJ has said was needed to show progress with more wins each season has happened. We now have to step up and do something more to continue to show the upward trajectory.

Tons of pressure to win big this year. Have to win the East.

I agree. Not only local guys are sitting back and watching.

Ha I'm never going to get to Mueller status.

My kid knows these kids and I work with some parents of players at Oakland. This will be the last class I know anything. My kid and kids of my coworkers graduate.

I hereby bestow thee honorary class of 2017 insider status. Status will only be good for approximately 14 more months. Use it wisely.

"Just being able to relax and spend time with the coaches builds a relationship," Gray said. "That's what I like is being able to have that great relationship both on and off the field. Just have fun and I like it a lot."

"I just love the atmosphere and I love the campus on game days," Gray said. "It's just so different. Words don't explain how it makes me feel. Other campuses have their own feel, but there is something different at Tennessee. It just feels like home."

"I would say that I'm really gelling with Bob Shoop," Gray said. "He offered me in 8th grade and I realized how I could fit into the defensive scheme. He was telling me how they could build the scheme around me and he could set me up to make plays. Who wouldn't want to be in that position?"

The hopes are high for a LaVergne team that could contend for championships this Fall. Both Gray and Fant will present mismatch problems for opponents, but will the get the chance to do that together at the next level?

"I would love and honestly it would be something cool to play with a high school teammate," Gray said. "Him being so good on the offensive side and me being good on the defensive side would be a great combination depending on how much hard work we put into it. Hopefully change a program."

As for a decision, Gray isn't so sure he'll be a prospect that takes things all the way into 2017 and says he'll have no problem ending his recruitment if he feels he has found the perfect fit."

Can't help but like this. Sounds like we are definitely in a good spot with both of these guys.

So what does this guy project at? OLB or SS/Star? I'm geussing he'll be a JRM-type OLB. The NFL is in love with the undersized but speedy guys that can play in space right now (and I would guess for the foreseeable future).

Sounds like he could project as the star position or olb like JRM. I feel like he will put on to much weight to stay at safety.

Maleik could start a huge domino effect with TN kids. CBJ and staff has to be praised for all the momentum we've made up and gained.

For sure, Maleik commits and his teammate Fant would be soon to follow. Could definitely get us rolling.

Would be nice to have a big TN commit to take the lead on peer recruiting in-state and someone like Gibbs commit and take the lead on the GA recruits.
