I'm usually very skeptical about picking a team a recruit is choosing, but this time I just think it's going to be Tennessee. I'm seeing a lot of people on twitter(some being FSU fans) saying they are unsure about Akers. Now I'm seeing the Sab guy(which I don't trust much at all) saying he has Cam Akers to Tennessee from 3 solid sources. With him I do not know to trust it or not. Then Brad Shepard last night chooses Tennessee on his CB, and he is wrong a lot but he had to hear something encouraging to pick us. I've also read on Twitter where rivals has started to cool a bit on the "FSU being the favorite" talk. This combined with our rivals site feeling good about where we stand with Akers, and all the noise about Akers to Tennessee. I have to go with Akers to Tennessee. To end with Akers, Ray, and Corker would be absolutely outstanding, and would probably shut a lot of the star gazers up.

Sab has a reputation for talking with recruits/current players, and my guess is that is where he is getting his info, hence his comment, "If I'm wrong, he's lying to some people".

I think it is possible that Akers has told representatives from both Tennessee and FSU, be it current players, commits, coaches, etc., that he is coming to both places. So, you just have to make a decision on what to trust. Most signs point to FSU, but nothing concrete from the Akers camp. Tennessee is hanging in there amd the sliver of positivity from Hubbs has me hoping. It will be interesting to see if anything happens in the next 24 hours to move the needle in our direction.

Cmon Akers, choose Tennessee. FSU is trash and they have plenty of other talented RBs to replace Cook. Come play in the SEC!

This one has become exciting. I think it's too close to call. But it's definitely a positive that some of the "insiders" are starting to trend towards being optimistic the last few days.

If it is FSU in the end, it won't have been FSU in a landslide.

Go Vols! Hope we land this guy...

About halfway thru the season they just gave up, since they knew they were going to be canned. That includes Pittman, who is considered one of the better recruiters in football.

VolinDayton, are you in Dayton as in Ohio, or Rhea County?

Unless something crazy happens within the next 48 hours, and it always can, expect Cam Akers to be an Ole Miss Rebel Tuesday night. Tremendous amount of info and intel inside Mississippi points that way.-247
