'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

Oh yeah,he cause a fumble.

Well, let's see. One fumble caused gets him characterized this way and one could argue it was just as much Dobbs' fault as his. Why don't you let him get a few more meaningful snaps before you write him off? Either that, or move him to LB since he causes so many fumbles. :eek:k:

You probably still believe in Santa Claus too. All those mouth breathers do is stalk kids and look through their garbage to come up with their supposed expert opinions.

And on a side note, your attempt at humor resembles a 10 car pile up on the highway.

Wait, what are you trying to say here?

Kamara fumbles too, so does Kelly. I was just stating a fact. I think he could be good, I think he could be bad. I have no idea. But we need two good prospects at tailback in this class in my opinion.

Exactly and he would not have been in the position to fumble if Hurd hadn't refused to enter the game..

I am not arguing that we need two, and we would all love to get Cam, it was just that you seemed to imply that CFA would not be a good back because he was on the field for that fumble.

Question is, does UT get the last OV or Ole Miss? OV are scheduled or already taken to FSU, Michigan, UGA, and OSU.

I think he comes to UT because he can run by ole miss anytime.

Still think Chandler may be the best back in this class.

Still wonder why a top RB like Akers would want to step into Ole Miss right when they are about to get hammered by NCAA... an assistant has already been either fired or put on leave...

I didn't mean to imply that. I hope he's a heisman candidate. I just want to keep stocking the cupboard because Kelly we know can be good, outside of that we can't reasonably assume anything yet. But to another post above, we seem to have developed and or recruited the right talent at RB since butch got here.

Something like that is very hard to ignore. Even for the NCAA. Proven cheating is the only reason they've gotten back to their winning ways. If not for that, Ole Miss would still be Ole Miss.

I agree to an extent, but the fact they give updates (they never do that) means they know the football world is watching which means they will have to do something. They announced last month that the investigation continues and the fact they rejected (again, they never do that either) OM's self imposed penalties. They are too happy to accept penalties and move on (saves them $$$) bc they won't have appeals, potential court, etc.

They will give something, not sure on severity. A bad omen happened yesterday if you are an OM fan, they fired the assistant AD (who is in charge of recruiting). That basically is an admission by OM that something has happened, like everyone doesn't know that already. At this point, how bad are the sanctions. If recent history is an indication, they will bring the hammer but will be hitting tacks instead of nails. Don't expect much. Hope I'm wrong.

the NCAA wrote the book on ignoring. Even if they do get hit it will be years down the road. That is the NCAA secret, they investigate for years until everyone forgets why they investigated in the first place all the while keeping their palms open for the boosters of the university to grease away. The only time they really drop the hammer is when the violations transcend sport i.e. Penn State.

The Miami and UNC cases sealed the deal for me. The NCAA is worthless as a policing body.

I think they are waiting until the end of the season... you may be right, they may skate with a slap on the wrist, but a couple of friends of mine who are season ticket holders, son works in the admin department, etc.. say everyone is still walking around on pins and needles...

The USCw and Alabama (Albert Means) sanctions would seem to disprove that though.

Got it. Thanks for responding. It sounds like we agree. How did that happen?

I definitely defer to Ryan but I've heard pretty strongly for some time now we will be very happy.
Also I continue to hear we are a legit threat for Akers as I've noted on here before. Not ready to concede that one in the least.
