Honestly I think this dude has no idea where he's going himself. He doesn't give away ANYTHING lol

The kid wants to start from day 1. He's taking his time and looking to see how RBs and different schools perform and see which ones head to the NFL and which ones stay.

I think it's down to us and Ohio State. We need to hope Hurd has a monster season and gets projected as a sure 1st rounder.

And then we need Ohio State's redshirt freshmen RB Mike Weber to have a monster season. That way he's the clear cut #1 RB in 2017.

That way we can tell Akers he's got the #1 spot all to himself here. And we can get him to be a 1st round pick like Hurd.

Coleman's tape looks better. Akers simply doesn't look as explosive on tape as he's timed at camps.

However, none of these backs (Coleman/Akers/Chandler) is elite.

We might have to wait until 2018 to find a true successor to Hurd and Kamara.

Chase Hayden could very well be the best RB that UT is recruiting right now, I wish they would make him an offer that he can commit to because he's an incredible athlete and football player. I would hate to see him at Arkansas.

Akers will most likely sign with OSU, UT needs to secure a commitment from Hayden now, and keep recruiting Akers has long as he still shows interest in UT. If Akers does indeed want to come to UT, I'm sure they will make room for both of them.

If Coleman sticks, Chandler is a Vol, they take Hayden, AND Akers wants in, I'm not sure how that plays out.

I think this is what is going on with UT recruiting. Kids are a lot slower about committing in the Summer when Butch is telling kids to look around in January. If I were a 3-4 star I would not talk to UT until November about committing. That is when they get serious about who they will take in a class.
